Blood, Bath & Beyond - Michelle Rowen

The Book
Sarah Dearly is adjusting to life as a fledgling vampire, satisfying her cravings at vampire-friendly blood banks. But when her fiancĂ© Thierry takes a job with the Ring—the secret council in charge of keeping vampires in line—Sarah’s about to get more than a taste of danger…

Being engaged to a centuries-old master vampire can be challenging—especially when he takes a job with the Ring. Thierry’s in for fifty years of nonstop travel and deadly risk. It’s enough to make any woman reconsider the wedding…any woman except Sarah, that is.

Traveling to Las Vegas for his first assignment, they encounter a child beauty pageant contestant from hell, as well as a vampire serial killer leaving victims drained of blood, potentially exposing the existence of vampires to the whole world. But when Thierry’s truly ancient history comes back to haunt him, and he’s accused of a crime he didn’t commit, it’s up to Sarah to clear his name before their immortal lives come to an end.

My Opinion  5 STARS
BB & B is a welcome return to Sarah Dearly. Theres more of her fabulous sarcastic wit, and of course she always manages to find herself in the middle of things.

Although you can start this series without having read the Immortality Bites series, I'm glad I have just for the background on what has already transgressed between Sarah and Thierry. (I have certainly got myself a thing for the tall, dark, and handsome brooding vampire - honestly who wouldn't want some more of him?)

Michelle has - easily it seems - managed to slip into paranormal mystery from paranormal romance and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

The ending as always leaves you wanting more and hungry for the next instalment to know what happens next. It's a real page turner and I didn't want to put the book down, so I didn't - until I finished it.

Another brilliant book, by a brilliant author!

If I Stay - Gayle Forman

The Book
In a single moment, everything changes. Seventeen-year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall riding along the snow-wet Oregon road with her family. Then, in a blink, she finds herself watching as her own damaged body is taken from the wreck...

A sophisticated, layered, and heart-achingly beautiful story about the power of family and friends, the choices we all make, and the ultimate choice Mia commands.

My opinion  5 STARS
OMG. I Loved this book. It was a bit of a tear jerker, but in a good way. Deffinately a book to re-read.
