In Bed with Mr. Wrong (Out of Uniform #1) by Katee Robert

The Book
Release Date: 13 January 2014

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

The blind date from hell is about to get hotter…

Brianne Nave is never doing her friends a favor again. When they begged her to go on a blind date, she didn’t expect someone so perfectly gorgeous. She’s a mousy librarian—totally not in this man’s league. And judging by his odd reaction when she opens the door, he knows it, too.

Air Force Pararescuer Ryan Flannery avoids his hometown at all costs. He’s not thrilled about the date until he’s shocked silent by the prickly little librarian’s sweet curves and kissable lips…and her smart mouth. But then an argument leads to a kiss that spirals out of control. How can two people have so little chemistry outside the bedroom when they fit together so perfectly in it?

When their friends strand them in a cabin to "work things out," Bri’s not sure whether to kill him or put the industrial-sized box of condoms they find to use. Bottom line—Ryan’s career military and hates the tiny town she loves. He’ll leave, just like everyone else in her life. And if she’s foolish enough to give him her heart, he’ll take it with him.

My Opinion  4 STARS
Another Katee Robert classic that just cannot be put down.

I found the dialogue between Bri and Ryan to be down-right funny at times, and at others I wanted to strangle them both for being so bloody stupid.

Both are stubborn and rib each other the wrong way at first, then the chemistry kicks in and it has one hell of a punch.

Drew and Avery really need to have someone get their own back on the meddling pair, but it was a worthy cause.

I am totally looking forward to the rest of the series, I just wish the ending hadn't felt quite so rushed.

Blackmailed by the Billionaire Brewer by Rachel Lyndhurst

The Book
Release Date: 19 May 2014

Piper Reilly is in trouble. She needs a cash infusion, and she’s just left a scorching hot man in Florida to get her life in Colorado back on track. Then her surfside one-night-stand turns out to be her new boss, billionaire Matt DeLeo, with an offer she can’t refuse – agree to be the face of his brewery’s newest concoction or lose her job. A few weeks modeling for the billionaire playboy and her money worries are over, and she can definitely resist Matt’s gorgeous smile and muscular, tattooed arms. It’s strictly business. Right?

Matt DeLeo is in trouble. He’s found the perfect woman to sell Passion Creek Brewery’s newest brew, but if he wants her on his posters, he’ll have to keep his hands to himself. His problem? All he wants to do is drink in Piper. It will take more than blackmail for Matt to get his way.

My Opinion  5 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

For a change this book does not follow the normal, yet predictable story line.

For a start it is Matt that is chasing a one-night-stand who left him the next morning without a word.  A multibillionaire with an itch he uses every method at his disposal to get what he wants, but has to resort to old fashioned blackmail (of sorts).

Both fight the attraction they have for each other, but they definitely have a great chemistry together.

The story has been put together well, I only wish that we were able to read more of what they had gotten up to in the month they spent together as most of it was glossed over.

Certainly a book you get sucked into reading in one sitting (I certainly did).  Fun, light-hearted with a HEA, what more could you want?

One Night with a Cowboy (Paint River Ranch #2) by Elizabeth Otto

The Book
Release Date: 12 May 2014

Jobless, broke, and struggling to support herself and her invalid mother, paramedic Sophie Miller doesn’t have time or energy for a relationship. Especially with her mother’s clock ticking down. So when the sexy cowboy she meets at a carnival proposes a no-strings, one-night stand, she’s all over it. Until her one-night stand shows up again and turns out to be everything she’s ever wanted.  Tucker Haywood has his hands full running Paint River Ranch and trying to deal with all the changes pulling the rug out from under him. His past has taught him it’s better to keep women at arm’s length, for their sake. Stubborn and temperamental, Tucker doesn’t have a clue how to deal with a city girl who’s scared of squirrels and dirt.  So when Sophie gets under his skin, he has to do whatever it takes to push her away. Even if it means losing the part of himself he never thought he’d find.

My Opinion  5 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

I do love a sexy cowboy, and while Cole's story was good as the first in this series, book two was even better.  I LOVED Tucker's story.

The emotion between the two really gripped me and I couldn't help but turn to the next page to see what was going to happen next.  The chemistry between the two was explosive and you could see the struggle with Tucker and Sophie really had him changing the way that he would normally behave with a woman.

Instead of a normal one-night stand where he never saw her again, he could n't but go back for more and more.

The timing for Sophie couldn't be more wrong however, with her beloved mother dying in a hospice and on tenterhooks with a sister that she had never really gotten on with her live is falling apart.  Having also lost her job recently as a paramedic she is broke and struggling to help her sister pay the medical bills.

Both experience pain and conflicted emotions, opening up to each other in a way there haven't done before.  I did have a case of tears streaming a good few times thanks to the dialogue sucking me in and taking me on a roller coaster.

I really look forward to reading Cole's story.

Four Weddings and a Break Up by Elyssa Patrick

The Book
Release Date: 12 May 2014

From Elyssa Patrick comes a light, sexy, emotional contemporary romance perfect for fans of Jill Shalvis, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Bella Andre, about what happens when a fake relationship becomes all too real.

One fake relationship . . .

Ginny Michaels has always been a good girl and—ever since surviving a school shooting a little over a year ago—hailed a hero. Except she doesn’t feel like a hero. She can't even have a one-night stand with sexy Wes Dalton properly. When her big city fling resurfaces in her hometown with an intriguing proposition, she's powerless to resist. A fake relationship is exactly what's needed to keep her small town's matchmakers at bay during the upcoming wedding season. If only her attraction to Wes were as easy to ignore.

Too many real kisses . . .

Wes Dalton doesn’t have many regrets, and that includes his night with Ginny. But he's always hoped to strengthen his relationship with his estranged family. When his father’s health takes a bad turn, Wes puts his life on hold and moves to the meddling seaside town of Cape Hope. With his barriers in place—and a beautiful woman to help him hold them up—he's prepared for anything. Or so he thinks. Despite his determination to leave as soon as the summer is over, those fake kisses are starting to feel an awful lot like the real thing.

My Opinion  5 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Elyssa Patrick for an honest review**

I'm really glad I tried this book out.  Having not read anything from the author before, it could only have ben a hit or miss.

Ginny and Wes (a.k.a Mr Dangerous) connect instantly when they meet, on a physical level in the big city, but they don't expect to see each other again.

When they both see each other the next day back in Cape Hope, their fling becomes a fake relationship to help both of them get out of set-ups by interfering friends and family.  What they don't see happening is the feelings that they start to feel for the other they get to know them better.

Both families and past hurts come out and get them closer together, where a fake relationship very quickly becomes a real relationship over the summer.

Lots happens in this book, there is wit, humour, suspense, thrills and loads of romance, along with pain and heartbreak (not all in that order).

I lovely read that I would have no problem in recommending.

Release Date: 6 May 2014

Dragged on a family trip to Europe’s ancient cities, Becca wants nothing more than to go home. Trapped with her emotionally distant father, over-eager stepmother, and a brother who only wants to hook up with European hotties, Becca is miserable. That is until she meets Nikolai, a guy as mysterious as he is handsome. And she unknowingly finds herself with a runaway prince.

When Nikolai and Becca meet, it’s their differences that draw them together. Sparks fly as they share a whirlwind of adventures, all the while dodging his royal guard. But Becca's family vacation ends in a matter of days. Will Nikolai and Becca be forced to say goodbye forever, will his destiny catch up to him, or will they change history forever?

Excerpt
Nikolai opened his eyes, chilled, as a cloud blocked out the sun.  Next to him, Becca slept, her hand curled in his.  She smiled in relaxed slumber.

He gently released her hand and looked around.  A couple of people lounged on the distant beach and a lone man sat in the sand with a camera aimed straight at him.  The hairs on the back of his neck stood up.

Nikolai turned his back to the beach and nudged her. "Becca!"

"Hmm?"  She stirred.

"There's a guy on the beach and I'm pretty sure he's taking our picture."

Her eyes sprang open.  "What?"  She sat up and spotted the man.  "You think he's paparazzi?"

"It sure isn't a random tourist aiming a long lens at us.  how the hell did he know I was here?"  Nikolai slid on his shorts.

"Oh crud."  Becca grabbed her clothes and quickly pulled them on.  "You think he's been taking pictures of us sleeping?"

"That and more.  Lord only knows how long he's been here."  He didn't notice him when they were in the water, but that didn't mean he hadn't been lurking in the trees, snapping pictures.

Nikolai stuffed their leftover lunch items into his backpack.  How did this camera-wielding jerk find him?"

Dressed, with everything packed up. they headed for the motorbike.  Their path unfortunately forced them to pass the creep with the camera.  Nikolai pulled his baseball cap low and hid behind his sunglasses.  He led the way with Becca's hand firmly in his.

"Prince Nikolai, why did you run from the palace?"  The photographer, a short, heavyset man with cameras strapped across his chest moved closer.

Nikolai picked up the pace, but the man stayed with them, walking backward and snapping pictures.  this was no official appearance where Nikolai owed the press a friendly smile and kind word.

"Do your parents know where you are?"

He ignored him.

"Your friend is beautiful.  Is she the reason you fled?  What's her name?"

Nikolai bristled and fought the urge to shove the man to the ground and bust his camera.  He glanced at Becca, her face pink with embarrassment.  She didn't need to be targeted by this oily loser.

"Have you heard that your sister, Princess Alexi, has gone missing?"

Nikolai hesitated for an instant, but then hurried on.  The man was lying.  He was sure of it, and he wouldn't let this vile intruder ruin their day.

They reached the bike.  He hurried and strapped on the pack and hopped on.  Becca climbed up, hugging him from behind.  Nikolai liked the feel of her body secure against his.  It made him feel better able to protect her.

The photographer kept snapping pictures and wouldn't back off.  "There are rumours that you have renounced the throne," he baited.

Nikolai stiffened, but didn't give him the satisfaction of a reaction.  He started the engine.

"Where are you going next?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?"  Nikolai grinned, revved the engine, and spun gravel as they raced away.

To recover some sense of independence and security, she's cobbled together different part-time jobs, including one as assistant to the pastor of her hometown church. Then a five-month-old daughter he never knew existed is dropped on his doorstep, the result of one of his many one-night stands. He needs help from Alice to care for his daughter, but he can't let himself hope for anything more from her than that. He can't help but want it, though

My opinion  4 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Noelle Adams for an honest review**

This book does tend to focus more on God and faith than the previous book, so take of faith and all that is not your cup of tea, then you will be disappointed with this book.  It is certainly more prevalent than in the previous book Married by Christmas.

The story is told from Alice's point of view, however it would have been nice to get some of it from Micah's point of view as at times it did feel a little flat.

It is however still a sweet story and has been well written, but i'm not sure if I found the previous book better.  I did at times struggle to get Micah and what was going through his head.

Still I believe that it is still a good book to read as it is slightly different from many of the other contemporary romance novels out there.

Yours Truly, Taddy (The Undergrad Years #2) by Avery Aster

The Book
Release Date: 16 april 2014

Jetting to Martinique for a modeling assignment with three of Europe’s hottest magazine photographers—Gustave, Fabian, and Leon—should’ve been easy, breezy beautiful. Never did I expect to look up and see a hole in the ceiling of our plane that was bigger in size than my Birkin bag.

Shit! We’re nose-diving toward Eden Island. I pictured how my New York Times obituary might read when I’m gone, “Taddy Brill, Manhattanite, dethroned descendant of the Austrian House of Brillford royalty, dies at age eighteen, penniless, unloved, and a virgin.” I swear this crap only happens to me. Suddenly, Leon pulls me with Fabian and Gustave. Adrenaline racing through me, our bodies clung as one. We prepared to…crash.

The Undergrad Years is a New Adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.

Reader warning: Contains mature content intended for readers 17 and up.

My Opinion  5 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Avery Aster for an honest review**

This novella takes place where Love, Lex finishes. Taddy is en-route to the destination for her big bucks photo shoot in order that she can pay her way through college.

These unlucky ladies and Blake however are unable to catch a break as the airplane crash lands in the sea. Taddy is tossed out of the plane with the photographer and they drift until she wakes.

Intimate moments both of mind and body happen at sea. Unfortunately Leon, the sexy French man hasn't told her everything. Back on land she also gets intimate with Fabian, which leads to an angry Leon.

Friendships are made and reaffirmed within the group. We also learn a secret about Blake and Vive.

Another quick but good novella from the series.

Love, Lex (The Undergrad Years #1) by Avery Aster

The Book
Release Date: 10 april 2014

This summer, I’d planned to celebrate my eighteenth birthday in Europe with my fellow Manhattanites—Taddy Brill, Blake Morgan, and Vive Farnworth—until I caught my boyfriend screwing my mother. According to the police report, this vomit-inducing incident happened around the same time I’d supposedly blown-up my mother’s penthouse. Like I’m walking around Soho with a stick of dynamite in my Louis Vuitton purse—not! Now, my besties and I are in jail.

Officer Ford Gotti, the Harley-wheelin’ biker cop who arrested us, keeps sticking his perfectly-sculpted nose into my case. His inked body is jacked like a superhero, and he says I can trust him. He wants me to fess up. I won’t. Not again. Why should I? My friends and I had a previous stint in juvie that nearly destroyed us. I gotta protect them and keep my mouth shut. Right? —Lex Easton, women’s studies major, motorcycle enthusiast, and virgin.

The Undergrad Years is a New Adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.

LOL. What can I say about this novella. Well if your an Avery Aster fan, then this series is a must. I mean, Officer Gotti is going in my fuck-it bucket. The man is seriously hot!!

This novella focuses on Lex and on how she not only loses her Lady V card, but shows again how her friends will always stick up for her. It also enforces the strained and weird relationship she has with her parents.

A brilliant 'getting to know you' story for Lex.

Don't Blackmail the Vampire (Sons of Kane #2) by Tiffany Allee

The Book
Release Date: 28 April 2014

Rachel Davis will do anything to get her sister out of a bad relationship with her fiancé. Even if it involves a few fibs, a little breaking-and-entering, and blackmailing the fiancé's potential boss, Charles, for his help. So what if the handsome Charles happens to be a vampire?

Charles Wright has found the perfect way to trap the man threatening his brother's wife: cozy up to him, get invited along on the skiing trip, and then search for incriminating evidence. How much better that audacious but gorgeous Rachel is just as eager to nail the bastard. As far as he's concerned, there's nothing wrong with a little blackmail between two consenting adults. Especially when it's time for Rachel to pay up.

My Opinion  0 STARS

** Copy provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

This book follows on from the first, but focuses on Noah's brother Charles and Kristin's younger sister Rachel.

Rachel thinks her sisters fiancee is a slime and wants to break them up.  That is the only reason she has agreed to skiing with them.  However finding out what Charles is doesn't scare her, in fact she blackmails him with the information, and uses his help to break the 'happy' couple up.

What she doesn't expect however is to find that the cold playboy is actually a warm-hearted man who is actually very tender and loyal to his family.

Its light, its fluffy and a bit funny at times and a good space filler between meatier books, but if you want a good light-hearted read then this is a book for you.

Accidentally...Cimil? (Accidentally Yours #4.5) by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

The Book

A Crazy Kind of Love

Meet Cimil. Yeah, she’s the Goddess of the Underworld, harbinger of all things evil and deadly, yadda, yadda . . . but she’s also crazy fun! And he’s not just any guy—he’s the strong, powerful pharaoh who’s fallen madly in love with her. But when he kills her pet unicorn, Cimil vows revenge, even if takes thousands of years to get even.

When Roberto meets Cimil, the king knows she’s his soul mate. It isn’t just her beautiful eyes or gorgeous body, but the godly power he feels simmering just beneath her fun-loving surface. They were the perfect couple . . . until the dead unicorn thing. Now after four thousand years, Roberto crosses paths with Cimil again, and his love for her is stronger than ever. But can he prove that he can once again be trusted with her heart?

My Opinion  5 STARS
** Copy provided by Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an honest review**

Although this book is labeled as 4.5, it REALLY needs to be read before book 4 in order to understand a few things Cimil and Roberto wise.

I loved this novella, we get to see a really bat-s**t crazy couple come together and what they do to torment each other and the lengths they will go to to be with the other.

We get to see why Cimil acts like she does, get a better understanding why she both 'helps' and how she doesn't

I love the tug of war and authority both Cimil and Roberto have, both are used to being obeyed and it is Roberto that goes through the most changes from the beginning of the book to the end.

I REALLY can't wait for the last book in the series which is due out in August….

Oh, and I want a Minky as a pet too!! :)

Vampires Need Not...Apply? (Accidentally Yours #4) by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

The Book
Release Date: 25 March 2014

This is book 4 in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling Accidentally Yours paranormal romance series.

Meet Dr. Antonio Acero. Heir to Spain's wealthiest family, world-renowned physicist, and dedicated bachelor. While on vacation in southern Mexico, Antonio discovers an ancient Mayan tablet. Local legends say it contains magical properties, properties that could put his stalling research on the map.

But is this really his lucky break?

When Antonio attempts to put the tablet to use, he'll discover that Fate has other plans. Her name is Ixtab, and she's quite possibly the deadliest deity who ever lived.

Approx. 85,000 words.

My Opinion  5 STARS
** Copy provided by Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an honest review**

I love the writing style of this author, seriously, she cracks me up.  Borrowing one her expressions, her writing is completely 'cray-cray' but in a completely brilliant way.  I always end up snorting with laughter (yes snorting!)

This book follows on from the end of book three and although most of it is from Ixtab and Antonio's point of view we do get snippets from the others, such as Cimil, god I love that crazy woman.

New creatures are introduced, new names are dishes out and we get some happy endings along with lots of little author quirks that are just awesome.  Seriously you NEED to read this series.

I am quivering with anticipation for book 5.

The Rising King (Keepers of Life #3) by Shea Berkley

The Book
Release Date: 23 April 2014

The summer before Dylan Kennedy’s senior year in high school is turning out to be anything but boring. Ridiculously hot girlfriend? Check. Killing evil Dark Souls who suddenly have aspirations of taking over the magical realm of Teag because its protective spell is gone? Check. Not even Teag’s King, Dylan’s father, Baun, can stop them. People are dying, and a dark magic that his girlfriend, Kera, received from Baun is growing stronger. Dylan wants to believe Kera is suppressing the darkness that’s in her, but every day he sees that control slip just a little more.

Baun sends Dylan to find a powerful magic that stop the Dark Souls, a magic so strong that Baun hid it so no one else could use it. When Dylan doesn’t expect to find along with it, are consequences that could end the lives of those closest to him.

My Opinion 4.5 STARS
** Copy provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

In this book, the last of the series, we find Dylan getting stronger and with his magic and as a character whereas Kera seems to struggle so much more with the darkness rising in her.  Everything she does though, she has an excuse for, until she doesn't know who she is an knows she needs help.

Baun turns out to be the man Dylan had thought him to be and worse, completely power hungry.

More humans die, and others show their strength in the midst of everything and show loyalty to Dylan as a friend and leader.

There are a few twists that you don't see coming and Dylan is shown again by his grandpa and grandma that he very much matters and that they love him no matter what.  They certainly let him know that they don't care what he is, he is still their grandson.

The ending is satisfying to an extent but the show-down happens all too quickly, even the last chapter, although good feels like something is missing, hence the not quite full star rating.

One the who though, this was a brilliant series to read.

The Fallen Prince (Keepers of Life #2) by Shea Berkley

The Book
Release Date: 25 June 2013

There is a magical realm that exists alongside the human realm, but it wasn’t always so. The firsts are beings who were created to nurture the land. The world was split into two realms, and the firsts were allowed to redeem themselves. Sadly, the majority continued with their self-indulgent behavior to the point where one of their own, a king, became so obsessed with power, he was secretly banished by the court in hopes his absence would calm the masses. But a spark of madness was ignited and not even the lost king's absence could curtail what he set in motion.

My Opinion 5 STARS
** Copy provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

Though this book was much better than the first it was still a little on the slow side to begin with, but I guess it was needed to build the characters up a bit.  Still it could have been condensed a bit.

Most of the book however is completely full of twists and turns that you entirely know who to trust.  More creatures come out into the works and there is full out war and destruction in the land of Teag.

Kera and Dylan both go on their own journey, but whilst a lot is spent at the beginning in talking about Dylans irrational anger problems, they suddenly disappear not long after he comes back into Teag.  No fiery mention of them, but that could be because he is so busy dealing with so many other things.

I do hope that Dylans rather does turn out to be the good guy, and I have you can't help but love the disgusting little Bodog.  I do rather like the creature.

REALLY looking forward to starting book three in the series and finding how everything finishes.

The Marked Son (Keepers of Life #1) by Shea Berkley

The Book
Release Date: 2 August 2011

Seventeen-year-old Dylan Kennedy always knew something was different about him, but until his mother abandoned him in the middle of Oregon with grandparents he’s never met, he had no idea what.

When Dylan sees a girl in white in the woods behind his grandparents’ farm, he knows he’s seen her before... in his dreams. He’s felt her fear. Heard her insistence that only he can save her world from an evil lord who uses magic and fear to feed his greed for power.

Unable to shake the unearthly pull to Kera, Dylan takes her hand. Either he’s completely insane or he’s about to have the adventure of his life, because where they’re going is full of creatures he’s only read about in horror stories. Worse, the human blood in his veins has Dylan marked for death

My Opinion  4 STARS
A good fantasy read in the realms of Robin Hobb and Maria V Snyder.

Loved that for a change we mostly had the POV from the male side and only a little from the female side.

Dylan really has had I rough in his life, and being dumped with his grandparents really doesn't make things any easier, even if he does finally meet the girl that he has been dreaming about since he was young.

Shea Berkley builds another realm/dimension that is fundamentally like ours, but with a few subtle differences.  Magic being one of them.  New creatures emerge alone with ones we have heard of like the Gryphon.

Lots of things happen within a very short space of time and it keeps you on your toes.  The cliff hangar is good, but you can kind of tell who the new person is when you get there.

A very good young adult series.

But he hadn’t factored in Stefanie or the intense attraction he’d feel for her. As her seduction heats up, so do the stakes, both professionally and romantically. Can he let business go long enough to allow Stefanie into his heart?

My Opinion  3 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

Three stories that are linked by friends and family and a vintage pair of 1930's owned by a famous Hollywood star who finally found her happily ever after through wearing them.

These shoes however are being looked at from Happily Ever After and the Hollywood star and her husband who wants to give four women their own happily ever after.

Of course things don't go exactly smoothly to HEA but each story is sweeten its own way and they get better as each one goes through, my favourite however was Cinderella Seduction.

The stories are cute and the sex scenes hot.  the book won't leave you weeping or give you any revelations but they are a nice read.

Mindful of where I sat, he lifted his leg and got off the bike. When he removed his helmet, I noticed his eyes weren’t as dark as before. They had hints of hazel in them. His brow furrowed into a straight line when he caught me staring at him.
Quickly, I looked down at the bike and reached up to take my helmet off.
“Allow me.” His big hands came under my chin. He tilted my jaw upward. “Such a beautiful face, Lex. I like looking at you.”
“Thank you…”
I’d heard the “pretty face but” backhanded compliment my entire life. I waited for him to say, “But your body could use some work.” Or my personal favorite, “It’s a shame you forgot to take care of the rest of you.”
Ford didn’t say anything of the sort. He studied me just as he did back in the jail, from head to toe. I’m so uncomfortable. Not because of anything he’s doing, but because usually that is when men, and sometimes women, stop looking at me all together.
He unfastened my chinstrap and teased, “Let’s see if your hair has static.”
Trying to stand, I laughed nervously.
“Stay seated.” He removed my helmet and placed both his and mine behind me. He swung my right leg to the left side of the bike, framing my body with his. He cupped my face in his hands.
Hot cop fantasy? Heck no. This was real. He was going to…
Ford licked his bottom lip. His facial features strained, becoming serious. The tip of his nose touched mine. I smelled mint when he exhaled. “No roommate. Yup, I live alone.” Then he kissed me.
My head fell back into his grip.
With determination, he tongued me, deeply, clockwise, oh yes even his flippin’ tongue was strong and precise, just like the way he weaved his bike through traffic.
Enthusiastically he unbuttoned the straps on my overalls and then without even looking, still lip-to-lip, he worked the closure on the left side then the right.  The denim flaps fell to the front and the back.
“Stand for a sec.” Ford lifted me up in the air as if I were a weightless feather. He planted both my feet on the ground, and then he shanked the overalls to my ankles.
“Ford—” Before I could finish whatever I was going to say, he lifted up my shirt and swiftly placed me back on the motorcycle. Worried I’d fall, I dug my back into the seat, reached for each handlebar, pulling myself up as I gasped and garbled some words.
He slid his fingers through the purple waistband on my underwear.
My entire body stood to attention.
“I want you naked so I can admire your body, and fuck you, on my bike.”
Air, I needed to breath. Afraid I might pass out, I inhaled through my nostrils and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. “Umm, Ford,” I whispered when he came in to kiss me again.
What the heck was I going to say? “Excuse me, but as hawt as this whole bike thing sounds, my Lady V and I would be more comfortable on a bed, sofa, or even the floor.” I felt as if I might knock the bike over any second now.
“Nervous?” Ford sensed my apprehension.
“Very,” I replied without thinking.
“I told you not to be.” He repositioned himself holding my legs over his right shoulder.
The panties came off. Then he lifted one leg and rested it on his other shoulder. Leaning down, his hands scooped under my back and unfastened my bra. No directions necessary. This dude could do this undressing thing, in the dark.
“But Ford, ya see, I’m—”
That tongue of magic. Thick and velvety, warm and wetter than the spot between my legs, Ford slipped back into my mouth. This time he rotated counterclockwise.
Dang. Ford is an Olympic kisser. For round two, I braced myself in his arms.
Legs spread wide, my ass still sat on the bike.

Date with a Vampire (Tempted #1) by Raine English

The Book
Release Date: 1 October 2013

She gave him her heart, but he wanted her soul…

Melody Johnson dreams of meeting a man as dashing and wonderful as the heroes in the books she reads. Being a realist, she knows that’s highly unlikely. Besides, men always leave her for someone more exciting—until she wins the lottery, that is. Pursued by scores of men happy to help spend her fortune, Melody longs to have her quiet life back. When a network executive offers a reality show, she seizes the opportunity to show the world she’s off the single’s market. Melody leaves her quaint hometown in New York for a sunny island in the Pacific where twenty gorgeous bachelors will vie for her heart and where she can stage a phony engagement. What she never expects, though, is to fall in love with a vampire.

Guystof LeBreque is a four-hundred-year-old Romanian vampire who hates the taste of blood. He’s roamed the earth for centuries, loathing the monster trapped inside him. After his mother’s death at the hands of vampire-hunting assassins, Guystof vows never to turn a woman into a vampire. But when his father gives him an ultimatum to marry a rich woman in sixty days or lose his legacy to his bloodthirsty brother, Guystof battles his conscience. Does he keep the promise he made to himself, or does he keep his brother from power? Guystof resorts to drastic measures. He becomes a bachelor on a hit reality show. What he doesn’t anticipate is losing his heart to the woman whose mortal life he must end.

This book can be read as a stand-alone book.

This book reminds me very much of another book I have read, but with an added twist to make it seem like another book. This therefore had me looking at how similar the two were than reading the story for the first time. This in turn left me feeling quite disappointed.

As a villain I also felt that Theo played the part well until near the end. Considering his supposed magical powers the man gave up FAR too easily In fact I would say that the last 20% of the book on the whole was unremarkable and dull.

I'm trying hard to think of the book that this reminds me of and I think its Bloodline A Sequel To Bram Stoker's Dracula by Kate Cary, although i'm not 100% positive.

On the whole though if I had not have read a similar book, I would have really enjoyed this book until the disappointing ending.

I loved all the characters in this book, especially the grannies. Seriously they were awesome and were very funny.

Both Kyra and Mike have made mistakes in their past, but they have never forgotten or stopped loving each other.
She whimpered. "Mike. Wait. What are you doing?"
He snorted. "Baby, if you don't know what we're doing, then I'm clearly doing it wrong."
The sex is hot, Mike is your typical alpha male and they both learn from their mistakes and learn to compromise.
Kyra cupped his face, feeling the bite of his stubble in her palms. "I love you, Mike. I've always loved you. Even when I was married to someone else, I still loved you. I loved you for so long I don't know how not to love you. It's you or no one. Without you I barely got by. I was not able to breathe. Not able to laugh. Not able to live."
The start of a very promising series.
