What happened in high school stayed in high school. Until now.
Five years ago, Michael Graham betrayed the only person who ever really knew him. Since then, he’s made an art of hiding his sexuality from everyone. Including himself.
So it’s a shock when his past strolls right into the Harkness College locker room, sporting a bag of hockey gear and the same slow smile that had always rendered Graham defenseless. For Graham, there is only one possible reaction: total, debilitating panic. With one loose word, the team’s new left wing could destroy Graham’s life as he knows it.
John Rikker is stuck being the new guy. Again. And it’s worse than usual, because the media has latched onto the story of the only “out” player in Division One hockey. As the satellite trucks line the sidewalk outside the rink, his new teammates are not amused.
And one player in particular looks sick every time he enters the room.
Rikker didn’t exactly expect a warm welcome from Graham. But the guy won’t even meet his eyes. From the looks of it, his former… best friend / boyfriend / whatever isn’t doing so well. He drinks too much and can’t focus during practice.
Either the two loneliest guys on the team will self destruct from all the new pressures in their lives, or they can navigate the pain to find a way back to one another. To say that it won’t be easy is the Understatement of the Year.
THIS BOOK IS A STANDALONE. NO CLIFFHANGERS. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
Warning: unlike the other books in this series, this heartbreaking love story is about two guys. Contains sexual situations, dance music, snarky t-shirts and a poker-playing grandmother.
My Opinion 5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review.**
This is book three of a series, but it can be read as a stand alone book.
This is book based on a m/m at college/university and the story on how and why they came together.
One transfers to the college mid season and is openly gay. The other is a closet gay even to himself and has struggled with his sexuality, but both knew each other as children. They have not seen each other in five to six years after a horrific ordeal.
Rikkar and Graham were each others first loves and now with Rikkar back in his life Grahams emotions and shields are having a meltdown.
Richer however is prepared to go along with Grahams demands and rules just in order to be with him again even though at times it really hurts him.
Most of the book has Rikkar in the public eye as the gay man on the colleges Hockey team, however it is only a head injury to Graham and a family emergency on Rikkars side that finally has Graham openly admitting to everyone that he is gay.
Another brilliant edition to the series.

There is nothing happily ever after about my life. My mom is dying of breast cancer. I work four jobs just to keep us going.
What I don't need to deal with?
Jamie McAlister.
Yeah. Him. Blond, tall, gorgeous. I had a crush on him throughout high school, but he never knew I existed. I don’t even think he knows my name. I was too shy to say a word to him. It seems that everywhere I go, he’s there. And now? He’s kissed me—a lot. And those hot kisses have led to even hotter nights.
I’m falling for him, head over heels. But I don't know how to fit Jamie into my life. I only know I need him. Which means I have to try for something I never thought was possible. I have to fight for him and a forever kind of love.
New Adult/Contemporary Romance with a HEA - Recommended for ages 17 and older.

This book should come with a warning that you should not read it if you do not like to cry whilst reading. It may be part of a series but you can also read it as a stand alone book.
Its another story where we get all the internal monologue in order that we actually feel as if we are being taken first hand into the story and living it ourselves. We experience everything that Zelda is feeling and thinking and are taken on her emotional journey.
The story takes on the issue of living with someone near to and after the death of breast cancer and how they cope with the process and of their loss, along with finding love and new friends in the process.
Its a brilliantly put together book and I really hope that after Griff, his brother Jack gets a HEA ending too.

But with every second bringing him closer to certain death, can he afford to lose himself in her hot and willing embrace?
Excerpt
A young mother with two
toddlers hustled toward the entrance, their heads ducked to avoid the wind.
Piper sucked in air.
If she screamed, they were
screwed.
Jory pivoted and put her
against the wall, covering her mouth with his before she could let out a sound.
Warmth and woman. An
electric shock flared his entire nervous system alive. Soft and sweet, she
breathed in as he pressed against her. He’d meant to subdue her, to throw her off
balance, but shock ricocheted through him.
Need compelled him. He shot
both hands into her hair, tilting her head so he could go deeper. So fucking
deep he could get lost.
The second he tasted her,
all cinnamon and woman, hunger slaked him. Devastating in its intensity, a
demand he couldn’t deny. Her smooth, velvety lips softened under his, and for once,
he lost himself.
Strands of her silky hair
caressed his hands as he held her jaw, nearly lifting her up to meet his mouth.
There was nothing but getting . . . more.
She stilled against him,
her mouth parting. He swept his tongue against hers, taking in a primitive
claim too powerful to deny.
Her gasp mingled with his
low groan. She pressed harder against him, her mouth curving under his, and he
forgot . . .everything. Who he was, where they were, the
fire and danger. Only the woman against him, warm and willing, sweet and sexy,
filled his mind.
He clasped her tight,
forgetting any gentleness. Any seduction, any mission. Only this woman and this
moment mattered. Letting go of himself, he allowed the creature inside, the one
so rarely let loose, to take over. To push deep, to demand more. To take.
And give everything.
His mouth overtook hers,
memorizing every groove, every small nuance. His free hand gripped her butt, hauling
her up against his steel-hard erection. Heat from her core nearly dropped him
to his knees. Pain and sparking pleasure flared along his skin, and he deepened
the kiss, tightening his hold.
He needed to get inside
her. Now.
A siren trilled on the
lower street, and he jerked his head free.
Danger.
She blinked, her eyes the green
of a rain-filled meadow. Desire burned there, hot and bright. Somehow sweet.
Possessiveness gripped him
with a chokehold. One kiss. One kiss and she’d changed him. He had to get her
out of the parking lot before guns fired again.
That quickly, realization
crossed her face. Then shock, as she tried to take a step back. Her hands rose
and shoved against his chest.
Denial gripped him to be
quickly quashed with cold, hard training. So he grabbed her wrists and hauled
her closer, his face lowering to hers. He wiped away any expression and shoved
down all emotion. “Those men don’t care who they shoot. They’re scrambling and
might kill you—or innocent bystanders.” He spoke low, commanding.
She blinked, her mouth
opening but no sound coming out.
“If you fight me, they’ll
find us, and they might shoot. Collateral damage doesn’t mean a thing to them.”
She shook her head and
looked around.
He pulled her closer and
lowered his voice to pure, no‑bullshit command. “We’re getting in that four-door Jeep, and we’re
leaving here quietly. Your only choice is alert or unconscious? Decide now.” He
let conviction ring in his tone. If he believed he could knock her out, then
she’d believe it, too.
No fucking way could he
knock her out. Scaring her held little appeal, but he didn’t have a choice if
they were to both live through the night.
She quickly nodded. Gulping
air, she relaxed her body as two teenagers giggled while walking by.
He knew full well she
agreed to keep bystanders safe and not because the kiss had changed anything
for her. She had no reason to trust him, and she’d never really know him. Why
that pierced his chest with the cleanness of a sharpened dagger, he’d figure
out later. For now, they had to run.

**Copy provided by Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an honest review**
This is the last book in the series and gives us good closure on many issues, but does leave an opening for another series, which quite frankly I would welcome.
Jory is the youngest brother of the four and was presumed dead when he was shot 2 years prior, however, it was found that he still lived, but that he had been in a coma. He is now very much awake and plotting his escape.
Piper is a hacker, but has an unfortunate father figure she is trying to get to know after recent contact. He job is to try and get Jorys spinal chip back online so that he can be 'saved'.
Piper is not sure who to trust as she gets conflicting information, but soon ends up following her gut, which leads her into danger and also towards a relationship with a man with a possessive streak like his brothers, but with a devotion and love that she has been looking for.
We do get to find out who shot Jory and we also get a few twists that are unexpected keeping the story fresh and drawing the reader closer into the book, making us desperate to see how it will all end.
I am sad that the series has ended, but i truly hope that there is a spin off series and that these characters play a part in them.

First love. Second chance?
My Opinion 5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
Brenda has created another masterpiece with the latest in the Whiskey Creek series, and I could not be happier that I got the chance to read the latest update in the lives of some of my favourite characters.
Phoenix has been through such a big ordeal and she shows true resilience, strength and character through the entire story. You can't help but fall in love with her and be so utterly glad that she gets the happy ever after that she deserves.
Most of the way through the book I did find myself wanting to give Phoenix a hug, wanting desperately to tell her that everything would be ok in the end.
Riley we have seen through the series and he has wonderful friends and is yet another strong character. The way he copes with a startling revelation and how he treats Phoenix shows him in great stead, especially as he stands by her when not many others do.
I loved how we see him as both a father, in which he gives sound advice and knows that he needs to treat Jacob as a man instead of a child, and the man who has to question what he believes once Phoenix returns.
As always I look forward with great anticipation to the next book in the series and to how our friend Kyle will finally get the Happy Ever After that he so greatly deserves.

EXCERPT
“Stop.”
Thiago continued.
Seth grabbed Thiago’s forearm in a punishing grip, seconds away
from breaking it.
“Let go,” Thiago said, through gritted teeth. “You forget
yourself.”
“Until I say differently, she’s my property, or I leave now.”
Seth was truly scared. Labado was a murdering sadist, and he might have pushed
him too far, but he couldn’t ignore it for one more second. Labado stared at
him and slowly let go of the whimpering girl. She dropped to the floor. Labado
cradled his arm and toed her with his shoe.
“Is she the one?”
“How would I know, I haven’t seen the others,” Seth said in a
calm voice.
“Anton, bring in the next sample,” he called out. Four more
young women were brought in for Seth to view, all slightly older than the girl
who remained silently crying on the floor at his feet.
After they all were standing in a row, Leslie turned to him.
“Well?”
“And the one in the picture?”
“She’s not as docile, and she has bruising.”
Seth gave her a toothy smile. “So she has spirit and marks up
well. Too bad you didn’t bring her.” He set down his drink and got up.
“She’s in the hall. Bring her in Anton.” He continued to stand.
This was it, his palms were damp, and a bead of sweat trickled down his neck.
The bastard was gripping Annie tightly by the scruff of her neck, forcing her
into the room. Her face was mostly hidden by her hair. It was a trick he had
seen her use many times to assess a situation without people being aware of
what she was doing. Then like a laser, she saw the girl lying on the ground and
she yanked out of the man’s hold and was on her knees in front of Labado,
cradling the girl’s head in her lap.
“Oh, I like a woman who knows her place,” Labado crooned.
Why didn’t I break the fucker’s arm?
“What did you do to her?” Annie demanded, her head turning to
Labado, as Leslie watched Seth. He looked at her, schooling his features, so he
could survive the contempt he would see in his lover’s, his love’s face. But
while her face was hard and cold her eyes held nothing but joy.
“She is not your business.”
“I’m making her my business.”
“You’re in no position to negotiate. You’re a captive. All but
naked on the floor. Where is your leverage?”
“Apparently I’m a commodity of some value, or I wouldn’t be
here.” She tossed her hair and looked at Labado. “I’m of value to him. I have
leverage.” She helped the girl off the floor, murmuring softly to her. God, she
was magnificent. He kept his face flat and raised an eyebrow at Labado.
“You seem taken.” Seth said stating the obvious.
“You don’t. I thought spirit and easily marked were two of your
criteria.” Labado’s eyes followed Annie as she took the young girl to a sofa.
Anton followed her with an amused expression on his face.
“I find myself drawn to both of them. They both have,” Seth
paused, “certain qualities.”
“I am in complete agreement. I will take whichever one you pass
up.”
“But you told me the other day your current mistress was to your
liking.”
“A man can always make room for two women.” Labado licked his
lips as he looked at the women/girls on the sofa. Seth looked at the four other
women in the room. He wished a man could always make room for six. God, they
had to stop this tonight, but it wasn’t going to happen. Could Kota and Nate
somehow keep track of these four?
“I’m sorry. I really can’t decide. If you’re intent on taking
one of these two, I’m going to have to go through with the divorce.” Labado
pulled his gaze away from the sofa and stared incredulously at Seth.
“You are talking crazy. You have what you want. You just said
so.”
“But you are intent on taking what I truly desire.” He watched
as the sick bastard processed what he was saying. Leslie laughed.
“Well aren’t you just full of surprises. First you didn’t want
any of the women I had to offer, and now you want two. But I thought you liked
spirit, and one seems like a bit of a victim.”
“I like the dichotomy. But the point is moot.” He looked at the
sofa and couldn’t see Annie’s face, her hair hid everything. He knew exactly
what was going on in her mind, in her soul, because it mirrored his own heart.
He had to pull this off.

Book three in this series carries on exactly where book two finishes and continues to dive right into the action where VJS are hired and somehow the characters link up to know other characters.
Julianna is a victim who is being targeted by a stalker an is also being investigated for the murder of her late husband. But the case had previously been against the prosecutor now now to have fabricated or lost evidence and so her case is up in the air.
Devlin is the only remaining VJS member that has not fallen for one on his clients, however like the other two he falls, and falls hard. He see's when he needs to be soft and hold back as Julianna struggles with her past, but he also shows her enough emotions and deeds to say that he is a man to be trusted and that he would do anything for her.
Julianna is a wounded woman who has come out of a marriage of entrapment. Once she said 'I do' her life went to hell, and even though her husband is now dead, it appears that someone wants her dead too.
It doesn't take long to realise that Devlin has her best interests at heart, and she too falls hard for him and stands up for those she loves when she needs to.
A really good read and the perfect ending to the series.

TWO PRINCES: The Biker and The Billionaire
Sons of Sanctuary MC, Book 1
Two brothers, one a player, one a playboy, are on a collision course with destiny and a woman who thought she won a prize when she was allowed a look inside the Sons of Sanctuary MC.
Brigid Roan is a graduate student at the University of Texas. She had no trouble getting her thesis approved, but finding a Hill Country motorcycle club willing to give her access to their lifestyle was looking impossible. Then she got a lead. A friend of a friend had a cousin with family ties to The Sons of Sanctuary.
What Brigid wanted was information to prove a proposition. The last thing she had in mind was falling for one of the members of the club. Especially since she was a feminist academic out to prove that motorcycle clubs are organized according to the same structure as primitive tribal society.
Brash Fornight was standing in line at the H.E.B. Market when his world tipped on its axis. While waiting his turn to check out, his gaze had wandered to the magazine display and settled on the new issue of “NOW”. The image on the cover, although GQ’d up in an insanely urbane way, was… him.
After reading the article, Brash threw some stuff in a duffle and left his only home, a room at The Sons of Sanctuary clubhouse, with a vague explanation about needing a couple of days away. He left his truck at the Austin airport and caught a plane for New York, on a mission to find a mysterious guy walking around with his face.

“Sir?” Brash Fornight gradually became aware that someone behind him in the grocery checkout line was trying to get his attention. “Sir?” He refocused and glanced behind him. The woman leaning on a cart overflowing with chip bags and cookie boxes nodded toward the cashier indicating that it was his turn to move forward. Brash looked her in the eye and had to give her props. Most people wouldn’t have the balls to try to herd a guy wearing Sons of Sanctuary MC leather.
The club employed a woman who cooked and did grocery shopping several times a week as part of her job description, but Brash didn’t like to explain his relentless craving for peanuts and he liked being teased about it even less. He didn’t know whether it was the Vitamin B or the fat or just because he liked the taste, but he couldn’t imagine going a day without them.
That’s how he came to be standing statue still In the grocery checkout line, being prompted by some woman with more nerve than sense. While he was waiting, his eyes drifted over the magazine display and settled on the cover of “NOW”, on the Most Eligible Bachelor edition no less. The debonair figure staring back was wearing Brash’s own face and body. He looked different with short hair and a four thousand dollar suit with the shirt fashionably open at the neckline, but the similarity was inescapable.
On impulse he grabbed the magazine and tossed it onto the conveyor belt with his week’s stash of peanuts.
He stuffed the bags into the saddlebags of his bike and roared toward home, nervously tapping his fingers on handlebars at red lights, riding on shoulders to keep from slowing down. He was anxious to get to the privacy of his own room and read about Branach St. Germaine.
Two beers, one jar of peanuts, and one “NOW” article later, Brash was sitting on the edge of his bed looking at the wall, seeing nothing but his own heavy thoughts. He pulled out his phone, looked up a website, and waited on hold for ten minutes to hear the time of the next flight from Austin to New York.
There was a flight to Newark in a little over three hours. He looked at his watch and calculated the time it would take to drive from Dripping Springs at that time of day. As he booked the flight, he stood up, walked to the small closet, grabbed a duffel bag, and began shoving stuff into it. Ten minutes later, he closed his door and locked it, threw the duffel over his shoulder, and headed straight for the office downstairs. He dropped the duffel on the hallway floor beside the closed door and knocked.
“Yeah?” Brash looked inside, glad that his dad was by himself, and stepped in. “What’s up?”
“I’m takin’ personal time, Pop. Gonna be gone for a couple of days.”
“What the hell is ‘personal time’?”
The gruffness made Brash smile. “It means I’m not gonna be here if you call and I’m not tellin’ you why.”
The Sons of Sanctuary President looked up at Brash, over the top of his readers, and narrowed his eyes. “You got a secret?”
“Everybody’s got secrets.”
Brandon Fornight studied his son for a minute. “True enough. Is it the kind of secret that could affect this club?”
Brash shook his head. “Don’t see how.”
“Well, then. See you… When did you say you’d be back?”
“I didn’t.”
“Bein’ purposefully vague, are you?”
Brash grinned. “That’s why they call it personal time. But I expect to be back Friday.”
“You gonna have your phone with you?” When Brash nodded, Bran looked back down at his ledger in a deliberately dismissive gesture. “Well, get outta here then.”
Brash parked his bike in the airplane hangar. The structure had already been on the property when the club had bought it and turned it into a compound twenty years earlier. They used part of it for vehicle maintenance and repair and part for parking.
Some of the guys who were working looked over and shot curious glances his way when Brash threw his duffel into his pickup and started it up, but it wasn’t their way to ask questions. The Sons figured that if somebody wanted you to know something, they’d tell you.
Brash took a cab to a midtown hotel, wondering all the way why human beings would choose to live in such a place. As he slid his credit card across the hotel counter to the agent on duty, he glanced at the name, Brandon Fornight. It seemed unlikely that it was a coincidence that that the mysterious look-alike’s first name began with the same four letters. He ordered room service and pulled out his laptop.
Getting intel on the guy didn’t take advanced ops. Within an hour Brash knew where Brannach St. Germaine worked, what kind of car he drove, what kind of women he dated, who his tailor was, and where he liked to dine. There was no shortage of photos online, but the one that grabbed his attention wasn’t one of the many with starlets or debutantes on his arm. It was the one taken with his arm around his mother as they were arriving together for some red carpet fundraiser. Brash had an almost irresistible compulsion to reach up and touch her face on the screen in front of him.
The knock on the door signaled that room service had arrived. It cost a fortune, but looked and tasted like shit. So he closed the computer and went out for a walk to clear his head and find something edible.

FireStarter Excerpt
Cammie wrapped her arms around his shoulders. In her three-inch wedge espadrilles, she reached his chin, making them a perfect match. His tongue invaded her mouth, tangling with her own, the taste of the spicy food they had eaten exploding in her mouth, like another sweet temptation. She sucked in a breath, aching from the kiss, her heart thudding with excitement at her first real taste of him.
He gentled the kiss, brushing his mouth lightly over her parted lips, then nipped her bottom one. Cammie felt the tremor that wracked his large frame, happy to realize that she wasn’t the only one affected.
She had known since the age of twelve that this man was it for her. Now, ten years later, she realized her desire for him had only intensified, had become a woman’s need in place of a young girl’s infatuation. The times she had seen him in town over the years had always awoken a hunger, but she hadn’t thought she had a chance since he didn’t live there anymore. Now, with him pressed against her, she was aware of his powerful erection jutting against the juncture between her legs. Her own desire flooded her panties, but Cammie was shocked to feel Keanu pulling away.
“You’re fucking amazing,” Keanu murmured.
“What?” she asked dazed.
“I don’t want to rush you. I want to savor every moment, every sigh you make.” He captured her lips in another heated kiss.
Kissing him was a major feast to her starving senses. All thoughts fled her brain as he deepened the kiss, and drew her closer to his arousal. She sucked on his tongue, and nipped his lip like he had done to her, before licking the small hurt. Rushing sounded really good to her at that moment.

Author Bio
I’m a wife and mother who is a retired stay at home mom of 2. I say retired because my youngest is 14 and my oldest is 20. When my baby went to school, reading saved my sanity, and then the same year he started school, I was diagnosed with Cancer, again reading saved my sanity. When I recovered and realized how quickly life could change, I made a bucket list. The number one thing was to live. Check. On top of that list was to become a published author. Check. Eight years later I have accomplished that goal and several others.
I live in the Midwest, but I”m a southern girl with only a slight twang who says y’all quite frequently, and am known to say “Bless Your Heart” A LOT. If you know what that means, you do not want to be the one I say that to, lol. I cuss worse than if a trucker and a sailor were put together, but I do it with class *WEG*.
I write what I love to read, erotic romance. My books are definitely full of lots of story, but I leave nothing to the imagination in or out of the bedroom. My hope is that after readers have read one of my stories, they fall in love with the characters as much as I have.
The best part of my new journey is that I get to create new worlds, and have all kinds of stories in my head just waiting to be written. I truly love to hear from readers. You can find me on Twitter, Facebook or my webside, but I’m on Facebook ALL the time, so find me. I’d love to hear from you J
