REVIEW - Broken Kingdom (Lost Moon University #4) by Bella Jacobs

The Book
Release Date:  30 June 2023

Our enemies have taken the only thing that matters— her —and I intend to make them pay. In blood.

My father has sold me into slavery. Again. This time to a madman who wants to make me his bride.

What do I have to say about that?

Over his dead body. I’m going to destroy my father and my would-be husband and anyone else who stands in the way of the one dream that has replaced all others.

The dream of a life, a future, a family with Ford.

This man has become my world, my best friend, my ally, and the biggest piece of my heart. I’ll do whatever it takes to find my way back to him.

Even if it means burning this broken kingdom to the ground...

Broken Kingdom is the final installment in the Lost Moon University series. NO cliffhanger.

This is the last book in this series and it seriously does not disappoint.

Juliet has been taken by a madman after being promised Juliet as a bride if he helps her father take over Lost Moon University.

Ford, still alive will do anything to get Juliet back and has the support of his friends, but cannot trust one of them at present.

There are a good few twists and turns, but Juliet and Ford fight for each other and for a better future for their pack and the Varients.

Ford and Juliet have certainly been through an enormous amount since the beginning of book one, but we have seen them grow, make friends and trust in each other when all hope was all but lost.  Both find out how resilient they really are and what they are willing to do for each other.

I really loved this series and cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.

When she started work in the Middle East for The Botros Oil Company, Sara expected her boss to be an elderly Arab. But instead her boss is tall, handsome, gloriously masculine with stunning eyes and a muscular physique.

Tariq has never met anyone like her. She has no respect for tradition, she's clumsy, stubborn, unladylike and talks far too much. And she isn't scared of him, in fact she openly challenges him. He finds himself getting frustrated just talking to her.

So, why does he feel so attracted to her?

One night they're both working late and inevitably get into another heated argument. Before Sara knows what is happening, she is kissing Tariq, and he is lifting her onto the conference room table. After an unforgettable night of passion they both agree to never let it happen again. This is certainly not my first book by this author and will certainly not be my last.

With a tried and tested formula we get romance and a lot of watching as the couple slowly fall in love over an accidental pregnancy and in this book some really nice family and friends.

I always know that a book by this author will deliver what I want, a little spice, a happy ending and a happy feeling when the book has ended.

I can almost guarantee that I will love any book that this author brings out.

This book starts with Brody completing his buyout of a company from the man he blames for the death of his parents, but after the takeover it does not give him the satisfaction and relief that he had expected.

Kate is the daughter of the man that Brody has taken over his company.  Kate was overlooked by her father and begs Brody for a job as she states that she can help build the company up over his pulling it apart and selling it piece by piece.

The relationship starts fairly fast as Kate is nothing like what he expected and their is an undeniable chemistry between the pair that neither can deny, even if Brody tries a little, because he is Kates boss.

I enjoyed this story but personally feel that something was missing from the story.  It was otherwise a fairly sweet read.
