REVIEW - Taking It Off by Claire Kent

The Book
Release Date: 24 November 2015
Goodreads Link

Can't get enough Magic Mike? Let bestselling author Claire Kent introduce you to Matt Stokes, the sexy-as-sin male stripper and club owner who knows what it really means to bare everything.

Preschool teacher Elizabeth Marks isn't exactly thrilled to be attending a college friend's bachelorette party at a male strip joint. The sights—screaming women, half-naked hunks—are just as sleazy as she expected, with one exception: the man standing at the back, radiating sensual heat despite being fully clothed. When Elizabeth takes refuge outside, he chases her down and dares her to stay. It turns out that her mystery man is the owner—and, as tonight's headliner, the one guy Elizabeth wouldn't mind seeing naked.

Matt Stokes lives his life one day, one dance at a time. But as he challenges Elizabeth to get in touch with the passionate, impulsive woman behind her prim façade, she brings out another side of him as well. This girl isn't just another pretty face—or paying customer—and Matt can't help wanting more. Onstage, he's used to exposing his body. Now Matt will have to expose his heart. Because when it comes to real love, that's the one striptease that matters.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a sexy book that has two people becoming more than who they thought they were all through a harmless challenge.

However the attraction between the two is instant and both find that they look forward to seeing each other each Thursday and Saturday nights.

Elizabeths clean lifestyle is at odds however from the strip joint that she keeps frequenting and it is only Mat Stokes that has her coming back and completing her challenge.

However it is both that end up winning with our HEA, both find themselves set free with each other in a way they never thought possible.

A really enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages well into the night.

In The Billionaire Single Dad by Mandy Baxter, Carter Christensen takes a much-needed break after a less-than-stellar season as a Dallas Cowboy. He's ready to go to his cabin with his twin daughters and get a little peace and quiet. But what he doesn't count on is meeting a woman who will rile him up completely.

Tess Adams is still loving her decision to escape bustling New York-and her cheating boyfriend-behind, and live in a sleepy Texas town. But when a single dad with twins moves in to the cabin across the way, Tess feels anything but peaceful. The more she gets to know the oh-so-sexy Carter Christensen, the more Tess starts to think that she should give up her quiet, safe life, and give into passion.

My Opinion  4 STARS
**My thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Carter is a single dad raising his 6yr old twins alone after his wife died 2yrs ago and has taken them to his cabin by the lake for 6 weeks of vacation before his sports career takes most of his time from them.  Carter has been a one-woman man and married his high school sweetheart, and has not been with anyone since.

Tess was left the cabin by her aunt and has decided to take residence after her boyfriend cheated on her wife her best friend.  Six months later and she still has done nothing to the cabin and has a marsh for a lake.

It takes finding the twins making a fort in her barn for the two to finally meet, wherein she gives him a piece of her mind and making him interested in the fiery next-door neighbour.

Tess is a loveable character who is good with the kids and accepting of what Carter feels he can give her.  Tess is just luck that Carter has a loving family that is there for him and a twin brother that can set him straight like no other.

A nice soft read.

REVIEW - Play Harder (Hot for Him #2) by J.T. Fox

The Book
Release Date: 18 January 2016
Goodreads Link

WARNING: This book is 100% hard-riding, dirty-talking alpha times two. Read at your own risk.

Having him is the most dangerous play of all...

Now that Miami star quarterback Jordan Barr has had a hot, wild night with halfback Eric "The Brick" Higgins he can’t get him off his mind. Eric is under his skin, but he needs to learn a lesson—that Jordan calls the shots when it comes to these sorts of red-hot entanglements.

And that lesson will be conducted in bed with every inch of Eric’s ripped, muscular body bared for Jordan’s pleasure.

Jordan is the most intense, commanding lover Eric has ever had. Trouble is, the two of them have an enemy. As rumors of game fixing ratchet up, compromising photos land on their phones, as well as a note to pay up or be exposed. Eric’s ready to walk away, but when the threats intensify, the men must work together to figure out who the hell is gunning for them.

And working together can only lead to one thing…

An even hotter, harder, sexier encounter.

But the more they come together, the more determined their enemies are to tear them apart.

Play Harder is the second installment in a three-part MM romance trilogy that ends in a cliffhanger.

My Opinion  5 STARS
Part two of this series starts where we left off, with a battle of wills and chemical reactions going off whenever Eric and Jordan are together.

They stand together in order to find out who is blackmailing them, however they cannot stop their attraction and from falling into a relationship neither are sure they are ready for.

Jordan is clearly the alpha in this relationship, however Eric does have his moments, but he also shows us his sweet caring side.

We are left with an almighty cliff hangar that will just leave you screaming for more, desperate to see what happens next with both the blackmailer and our two scorching hot men.

I cannot recommend this series highly enough.

REVIEW - Lawless (Mob Boss #3) by Michelle St. James

The Book
Release Date: 22 October 2015

**THE HEART-STOPPING CONCLUSION TO THE MOB BOSS SERIES THAT BEGAN WITH RUTHLESS.**

Angel Rossi is no longer the naive girl kidnapped by Nico Vitale.

Now she’s the boss.

Yet even as she takes control of her father’s empire, she mourns the loss of Nico. Whatever the circumstances of their meeting, she was in love with him. Then Nico reappears, and Angel is too furious by his duplicity to be happy he’s back.

But when Angel is nearly killed, she’s forced to admit that someone wants her dead — and Nico, too. Soon the pair discover that a high dollar hit has been taken out on their lives by one of the only people they believed they could trust.

Now Nico and Angel are on the run, desperate to get their hands on the one thing they can trade for their lives — and maybe a chance to begin again.

My Opinion  5 STARS
This book is just as good as the previous two and continues to build up the relationship between our main characters, however there is an awful LOT of sex between them.

We have another dilemma and another mission to complete that seems impossible, but that goes fairly smoothly considering and another baddie entering into the mist.

Nico comes back very early on in the book, but only because he has too, Angel always seems to need protecting.  We also see more of Luca (LOVE HIM), and there is a little more of Elia and Marco, who i hoped there would be more of.

The only thing we did't get was Nico's feeling on the fact and someone he had considered family had all but betrayed him.

After getting to see more of Luca though, I'm really looking forward to reading his story.  I SO want him to get a HEA.

Angel Bondesan can't decide if Nico Vitale is the worst or best thing to ever happen to her. But it doesn't matter.

Because it's over.

Back in the small town where she was kidnapped, Angel grieves for her father and tries to put her feelings for Nico behind her. Then she finds out that the Vitale family is under attack by the one man who scared her more than Nico. Drawn like a moth to a flame, Angel offers Nico her help only to have the person she loves most becomes a casualty of the raging turf war.

Now the only way to avert tragedy is to become part of the world -- and the man -- who might destroy her. From New York City to Miami to Los Angeles, Angel and Nico are on the run -- and their undeniable passion might be the most dangerous enemy of all.

My Opinion  5 STARS
The second book in the series was just as good as the first and leaves you with some un-answered questions as to how things are going to proceed.  It also made this mummy cry :(

Angel and Nico find their way back to each other when something pulls them back together in order to be there for the other, but the inevitable chemistry makes sure that they are back where we left off as both realise that they love each other.

Dante takes something precious of hers in a turf war, basically using it to get what he wants from Nico, but it is a race against time to discover the evidence they need in order to win.

We meet a few more characters but ultimately its Nico, Angel and Luca and it feels that they become more of a family than ever before.

A really good read and i really need to know what happens next.... Can't wait to read it!!

REVIEW - Ruthless (Mob Boss #1) by Michelle St. James

The Book
Release Date: 3 August 2015

Two years out of college, Angelica Bondesan spends her time working as a barista, keeping in touch with her prodigal brother, and trying to figure out how to bridge the gap with her father, a wealthy real estate developer.

But all of that changes the night she’s kidnapped. Thrown into a windowless room, Angelica is positive there’s been some kind of mistake — until she meets Nico Vitale.

Gorgeous and frightening, Nico became the boss of New York City’s Vitale crime family after the execution style murder of his parents two years earlier. Since then he’s turned the old-school mob into a sleek, modern army of ruthless men who understand that physical violence — while always an option — isn’t the only way to get what you want.

Now Angel is forced to face the truth;

Her father is not the man she believed him to be.

Nico Vitale is dangerous, possibly lethal.

She is falling in love with Nico Vitale.

This is the first book that i have read by this author and it certainly won't be the last as I automatically downloaded the next two books in the series as I JUST HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!

The chemistry between the two when they finally meat for the first time is hot and it continues to be hot all through the book.

We get kidnapping, murder, deception and angst all thrown together and mixed up to keep you guessing who is the baddie and how is everything going to end up.

It was a stunning read that made me turn page , after page, after page, not able to put the book down.

A recommended read.

This really is a very short read and touches of the BDSM world, just giving you a taster and inviting you in to read more especially to read the other novellas in the series.

If you are not sure if BDSM is something you want to read, this would be an easy starter into the subject.

REVIEW - Play Hard (Hot for Him #1) by J.T. Fox

The Book
Release Date: 4 January 2016
Goodreads Link

WARNING: Contains two dirty-talking, hard-f*cking, no-apology-making alpha males. Read at your own risk.

Wanting him is the riskiest play of all...

Miami star quarterback Jordan Barr is the hottest man that halfback Eric "The Brick" Higgins has ever laid eyes on, and he's wanted him in his bed for years.

When a chance encounter puts the two pro football players in the same town, the same TV studio, and the same locked room, the sparks don't just fly, they burn. The chemistry between them is intense, immediate, and explosive and Eric isn't about to miss his chance to have Jordan off the field. He'll have Jordan naked in his bed—rumors of game fixing haunting both of their teams be damned.

Eric is one extraordinarily stunning man, and Jordan would love nothing more than to show Eric what it's like to be taken by someone who knows exactly what he wants, in the bedroom and out. But Jordan has bills to pay and far too many responsibilities to throw caution to the wind.

He has to resist. But it's getting hard....

Really, really hard.

Play Hard is the first installment in a three-part MM romance trilogy

My Opinion  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I haven't read a M/M in a while, but this is a great re-indroduction into this genre, as although it has a hot scenes, it is still fairly mild.

Both characters have known each other since they were teenagers and both play for different  teams, however the chemistry between the two of them runs hot.

Both have been hurt in the past, but find themselves drawn to each other, both being alpha male this makes things more fun.

There is a constant push and pull with them both as they struggle with their emotions, the fear of being caught together and of the possibility that's may just be more than passing lust.

We get a cliff hanger ending that gets you ready for the next book, so be warned.

He's thrilled when she seems to want him for a husband--until he finds out she didn't know what she was doing. Not wanting to let her go, he convinces her to stay married to him for a month and a half to appease their traditional families.

Now he has only forty-five days to prove to her that they should stay married for good.

My Opinion  5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This book is the end of the beaufort brides series and we do get a small section where Marietta and Harrison Damon from the Heir of Damon series.  We also find that there will be a spin off from Eden Manor in a novella format.

Kelly has always been the serious one in the series and now, on a rare trip away she goes a little wild.  Lucky her best friend Peter is there.

Peter is always sweet to Kelly, he puts up with an awful lot from Kelly and is not afraid to put up with her bull shit and always seems to fight for her.

Although both characters have some issues it is Kelly that has to realise that she is holding out on herself in order to move forward and not move out of her comfort zone.

I really love Noelle's writing and this series has been no exception.

Hot sex in her apartment pool begins a game of “undercover lover” that quickly escalates to something more. But when Micah discovers her secret agenda, all bets are off.

My Opinion  4 STARS
**My thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing LLC, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This was a fun book to read and seriously hot.  The chemistry between Kelsey and Micah leapt off the pages and things between them heated up fast.

Although Micah seems reserved and a little shy around most people he does not know, there is an instant connection between him and Kelsey.  There is no awkwardness only lust and heat and teasing.

Kelsey is a brilliant concierge, headed for promotion, but Micah is the only one who has made her break the rules.

This is not the first book that i have read from this author, and it won't be the last.  Another hot read that keeps you turning the pages.

REVIEW - Crazy Beautiful Forever (Dirty Twisted Love #3) by Lili Valente

The Book
Release Date: 12 January 2016

Warning: This book is a hot and heavy, non-stop, panty-soaking thrill ride that will leave you breathless.

No one betrays Harley Mason and lives to tell about it. For the first time in years, Harley craves revenge--the darker and dirtier, the better--but she has no choice but to put aside her pain and work with the man who deceived her. A precious life depends on it.

His wicked friend, his sweetest enemy--Clay realizes too late that he doesn't want to live without Harley. As they race against the clock to thwart a drug lord, he vows to do whatever it takes to prove his love, even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

She needs his help.

He needs her heart.

And neither of them is giving up until they find their crazy beautiful forever.

* *Crazy Beautiful Forever is the third and final installment in the Dirty Twisted Love romance series. It should be read after parts one and two.* *

My Opinion  5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Again book three starts exactly where book two left off and has an explosive beginning.  You have no choice but power through to the end to see what is going to happen next, however you do also get Clay's point of view now.  We get to see more of his emotions as to why and what he is doing, but you also see how much of a changed person Harley is from the person she was when they first met.  We also find a mothers strength to protect her children no matter what.

The one thing we do not get is an epilogue, and i very much hope that we get an epilogue in novella form so that we find out the true extent of what happens next between Clay and Harley and if the sisters meet up again.

Another really good series from Lili Valente.
