REVIEW - Vaka: An Alien Breeder Romance (Dragon Warrior Romance Book 1) by Keira Conrad

The Book
Release Date: 3 April 2020

Callie is a survivor. Her mom’s abandonment taught her you can only count on yourself, and the rest of her crappy childhood taught her to get back up when life knocks you down. It’s why she’s chosen as one of the first space colonists to settle a new planet. And why she’s willing to step up when they reach their destination and things go horribly wrong.

Vaka, a warrior and dragon shifter, usually solves his problems by lighting them on fire or tearing them to shreds. But not this time. His people are dying out. The females of breeding age are gone. He can’t do a damn thing about it - until the answer to his prayers crash lands on his planet.

He proposes a scandalous trade, and Callie is just desperate enough to accept. The consequences will shock them both.

VAKA is the first book in the Dragon Warrior Romance series. This standalone, full-length book has a guaranteed happily ever after, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

**For readers 18+. This story has explicit sex scenes.**

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author and Hidden Gems for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This looks to be a first novel for this author and i am pleasantly surprised by this story.

The writing and story are really good until about 75%, but then things fall a little flat with me.  But since this is just a first written book, i can forgive that.

Callie is a very strong character and we are given enough of her background to understand why she would stand out a little more from the others, she also had found some good friends with her room mates.

Vaka is a Dragon shifter and they have struggled with invaders before, they are now womanless and see an opportunity with the stranded strangers who are mostly women.

We get to see enough secondary characters where we can see other books panning out and i am excited to see how their stories will develop.
