My Opinion  5 STARS
**Provided by Netgalley and Harlequin (UK) Limited for an honest review**

I loved this book, but i did struggle with the change of narration between Avry and Kerrick as there was no warning the change was happening.

It would have been nice if the book had more about the other supporting character like the first as this focused more on Kerrick and Avry and their running stories. Although I'm not sure if Kerricks adventure was really needed.

And the ending? Holy crap. Do we really have to wait another year for the next book? Arrrrrrr. Thats so NOT fair!

My Opinion  5 STARS
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!

The writer takes you into another world and the story is excellent. With. The narration you really feel like you are there with the characters and really experiencing it with them.

The story holds many twists and turns so you are never quite sure how the book is going to turn out which is a blessing. I don't actually like figuring whats going to happen, it sort of ruins the story.

Anyway Avry is a strong, determined female character and all the supporting roles are excellent. I love Kerrick but found him a little too closed off. His change of feelings was more than a little surprising, but felt right.

I sooooo cannot wait for the next book!!!

My Opinion  1.5 STARS
I was really disappointed with this story.

I mainly only read it due to the way the last book ended but really wish i hadn't wasted my time even though this was more like a short novella.

The is a decent story underneath, however the writing really brings it down. The feelings do not feel real, sometimes their conversations are to advanced for people of their age and the romance scenes.... God where do i start.

The romance scenes leave a lot to be desired. At times i was crying out REALLY? You wanna write it like that? I couldn't relate to them, they felt forced and were poorly written. Either hint at what they do or write it properly otherwise it just doesn't work. It really helped to bring the book down.

I am sorry to say i will probably not read another book from this author.

Hot Ticket (Sinners on Tour 3) - Olivia Cunning

The Book
Release Date: 5 February 3013
Book #3 in reading order of events in book series, per author

There are things in bassist Jace Seymour’s past that he is unwilling to share with anyone. To cover his guilt and anguish, he seeks dominatrix Mistress V (Aggie) to temporarily placate his inner turmoil.

Aggie doesn’t have much use for men–besides the power rush she gets when they’re begging for mercy at her feet–but Jace isn’t like her usual clients. His cool defiance and unexpected dominance in the bedroom drives her to distraction and quickly steals her heart.

When circumstances threaten Jace’s position in Sinners, Aggie must help him regain his rightful place in the band while showing him that time and love can heal all wounds.

My Opinion  5 STARS
This book was hot. We had the Jace, the rock star with the troubled past who liked pain with his pleasure and we had Aggie the Dom who could break down his walls whilst giving him exactly what he needed.

This book builds on the books past but it also forged ahead in the story of the previous books along with the other members of the band.

Loved the angst that Jace had and the slight battle that Aggie had in getting Jace to talk.

On another note, man this group of rock stars are unfortunate in their accidents at the moment. Are there going to be any more?

A brilliant series.

My Opinion  4 STARS
This book was really good and had me crying and laughing at times.

Lots happened to keep the book really interesting and the interaction between the two was really good especially the chemistry.

These two really couldn't keep their hands off each other.

Can't wait to read the next book.

The Book
Release Date: 1 October 2010

When sexy psychologist Myrna Evans goes on tour with the Sinners, every boy in the band tries to seduce her. But Brian is the only one she wants to get her hands on...

Then the two lovers' wildly shocking behavior sparks the whole band to new heights of glory... and sin...

My Opinion  4 STARS
This book was good and it made a nice change to have the male lead character to the more sensitive of the two even though he still had that alpha male in him.

Myrna a skittish woman with commitment issues thanks to her ex-husband is a smart older woman. Thanks to a chance meeting at the hotel where she is attending a conference gets to meet one of her favourite bands, and in particular Master Sinclair (Brian).

Their relationship sizzles from the beginning and they both open each others eyes.

A brilliant story.

Rock my Bed (Black Falcon 2) - Michelle A. Valentine

The Book
Release Date: 22 April 2013
Everything always seems to fall into place for twenty-four year-old Aubrey Jenson, except for when it comes to her luck with men. Bad boys always draw her in and crush her heart, and Black Falcon’s lead guitarist, Riff, is no exception. After sharing a few wild nights together, she leaves him behind, knowing a guy like Riff isn’t the relationship type, merely just a play thing.

When she returns to New York, she tries to get the passion she felt in Riff’s arms out of her head by dating Isaac, a successful representative at Center Stage Marketing. Just when she thinks she’s forgotten Riff, she’s forced to see him again when her best friend, Lanie, ropes her into being a bridesmaid for her upcoming wedding to Black Falcon front man, Noel.

Sparks fly instantly between Aubrey and Riff when they’re forced to reunite, and suddenly she finds herself caught between the man that’s good for her and the one who completely rocks her in every way.

**New Adult Romance--Book 2 in the Black Falcon series. This book can be read without reading book one.**

My Opinion  4 STARS
This is the story of Riff (Zach) and Aubrey along the same time period of books one and 1.5 in the series adding to the complexity of the story.

These two were just as compelled to be together as Noel and Lanie, just they didn't have the background together and the previous heartbreak from each other.

Both had their little issues to sort out but they both seemed stronger individuals but together seemed really sweet.

Another brilliant book in the series.

This book gets 2.5 stars

I really wanted to like this book more than i did. It held a lot of promise, but at times it felt like i was just reading fluff. The wasn't really enough substance to the story to make it believable or the emotions ring true.

I truly hope the next book in the series delivers more than this.

My Opinion  2 STARS

**Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review*

The only really good bit about this book was at the ending.

It seamed that we missed the main good bits from this couples story, the getting together and the splitting apart.  None of the reminiscing really told how and why they 'parted' as  they did with enough detail.  We didn't get enough to say what this love was based upon, when it seemed it was just lust.

The telling of the story felt stunted and slightly forced and did not flow smoothly, even the sex scenes felt rushed over.

I was disappointed by by this book.

Skin in the Game - Jackie Barbosa

The Book
Release Date: 27 May 2013

Angela Peterson was always the quiet, shy kid growing up in Harper Falls, crushing on the high school quarterback and honing her football strategy skills. Now grown up and coaching the high school team, she’s shocked when that same sexy quarterback returns to Harper Falls asks her back to his hotel room. And then tries to steal her job.

Injured NFL quarterback Cade Reynolds is in Harper Falls to take over as interim head coach, and he never thought the tall, blond bombshell he propositioned would offer up any resistance. Not to a repeat of the amazingly wild night they shared and certainly not to his coaching position.

But the Harper Falls High Eagles are Angie’s team, and even the hometown hero won’t take that away from her, no matter how hot he is. As the two engage in a battle of wits and wills, this is one game neither is prepared to lose.

My Opinion  4 STARS
**Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

Ok... so in this book we have the previously shy geeky kid who has now turned into the Red wine drinking, soccer loving, math teacher that has turned until the preverbal swan. Then we have the former school star quarterback who made it big but is currently in-between jobs due to an injury.

Of course the couple have problems to overcome, hot sex (a must in these types of books) and a man intent on causing our swan trouble.

Although the story is sweet, its nothing to write home about and the ending feels a little too rushed. But it does leave a great opening for another book in the series with another couple.

The book is not that long and didn't take too long to read (i read it in less than a day).

Altogether a sweet short story.

The Book
Release Date: 13 May 2013
The greater the risk, the hotter the reward…

But there’s a connection between Ruby’s shadowed past and a case Troy’s working involving a notorious Brooklyn felon, throwing her safety into jeopardy. Confronted with his biggest fear, will Troy push Ruby away to keep her safe or fight to keep her in his arms where she belongs?

My Opinion  4 STARS

**Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

Although this book had a seriously hot rating its not as good as its predecessor.

We had Troy, the dominant alpha male and Ruby the sassy strong willed pool hustler and now integrated life or death situation.

The author again had some good on liners and sentences, however the ending felt slightly rushed and incomplete.

Still i avidly look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Protecting What's His (Line of Duty 1) - Tessa Bailey

The Book
Release Date: 23 February 2013
She’s running from the law, and the law wants her bad.

The opportunity was just too damn delicious for Ginger Peet to pass up. The purse full of money she finds—$50,000 to be exact—could give her and her teen sister the new start they need. So she grabs the cash, her gothy sibling, and their life-sized statue of Dolly Parton, and blows outta Nashville in a cloud of dust. Chicago, here we come...

Turns out, Chicago has some pretty hot cops. Hot, intense, naughty-lookin’ cops like Derek Tyler, who looks like he could eat a girl up and leave her begging for more. And more. Tempting as he is, getting involved with the sexy homicide lieutenant next door poses a teensy problem for a gal who’s on the lam. But one thing is certain—Derek’s onto her, and he wants more than just a taste.

And as far as he’s concerned, possession is nine-tenths of the law.

My Opinion  4 STARS
Good grief, this book is so hot its throwing out steam!

Derek is an all alpha, possessive male who can be a little pushy at times. Ginger is a strong willed, sassy loyal sister. The two of them together are dynamite.

The writing is brilliant and the author has some seriously good one liners and sentences that are just genius.

I am definitely looking forward to reading book two!

My Opinion  4 STARS
**Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

This book was an excellent second book in the Take a Chance series.

The book was fast paced and never slowed down, gripping you and taking you on the roller-coaster journey that was Brianna and Thomas (Tommy).

The emotions came through strong and felt very realistic, never feeling forced or out of balance with the situation that they were in, although things did happen very fast.

An excellent book and I greatly anticipate the third book!

Have a look at the link below for a chance to win a Kindle (wi-fi) with a customized cover with Tommy’s abs on it from the author! That’s right, not only do you get a Kindle, but you get an AUTOGRAPHED Love Me cover for your Kindle, too!

But when they visit a mysterious B&B in a bid to acquire the property, he starts having erotic dreams about the sexy brunette that make it hard to resist her in daylight.  Soon the line between reality and dreams further blurs when they learn they were sharing the same erotic dreams…

My Opinion  5 STARS
**Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

I loved this book, however it was a little on the short side and felt more like a long novella as it really didn't take that long to read.  I wasn't expecting the paranormal aspect to the story but it really added something to it.

At the end of this book i had a grin on my face (before the epilogue).  The dialogue is good and at times humorous.  The writer really takes you into the story and you actually believe the emotions that the characters are displaying.  It doesn't ring as unbelievable or forced.

The writer has a natural talent for bringing across the emotions of her characters.

A really good read.

My Opinion 4 STARS
**Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

This book was so much better than the first. I loved Lucky as a character and thought that Taylor was a good match for him.

The scenes from this story sizzled and the romance was brilliant, you had the tug of war, the realisation and the pure happiness of them both.

This book as a joy to read with all the 'hot' bits enough to light a fire in almost everyone.

A Night of Southern Comfort (The Boys are Back in Town 1) - Robin Covinton

The Book
Released: 15 June 2012
One night of passion...

Detective Jackson Cantrell never imagined that one night with an irresistible stranger would turn his life upside down. He’s spent years living in the shadows, but Dr. Michaela Roarke awakened a passion inside him he'd buried years ago.

He never expected the woman would turn out to be the governor's daughter...and his next assignment. The governor blackmails Jackson to secretly watch over Michaela and protect her from a stalker, or kiss his dream job at the FBI good-bye. Swearing to keep things strictly professional, Jackson moves in with Michaela. Too bad his heart can't keep the same promise.

But when the stalker's attacks quickly escalate beyond mere photographs to bodily harm, Jackson must race to save Michaela's life. And he’ll have to figure out how to keep her once she discovers his lie.

My Opinion  4 STARS
This book was good, but the ending felt rushed and unbelievable. As a first book for the author however, its not bad at all.

The story moved fast in some places, but felt a little sluggish in others, but the romance and chemistry between the pair certainly sizzled. Would I want me some Jack Cantrell? You'd better believe it....

The mystery is kept close and only shown at the end, but those good 'ole sluthers MAY just guess how did it. It was certainly a surprise on my end.

On the whole, it was a fairly decent read.

Deadly Sting (Elemental Assassin 8) - Jennifer Estep

The Book
Release Date: 26 March 2013

Red is definitely my color. Good thing, because in my line of work, I end up wearing it a lot.

Most people shy away from blood, but for an assassin like me— Gin Blanco, aka the Spider—it’s just part of the job. Still, it would be nice to get a night off, especially when I’m attending the biggest gala event of the summer at Briartop, Ashland’s fanciest art museum. But it’s just not meant to be. For this exhibition of my late nemesis’s priceless possessions is not only the place to be seen, but the place to be robbed and taken hostage at gunpoint as well. No sooner did I get my champagne than a bunch of the unluckiest thieves ever burst into the museum and started looting the place.

Unlucky why? Because I brought along a couple of knives in addition to my killer dress. Add these to my Ice and Stone magic, and nothing makes me happier than showing the bad guys why red really is my color.

My Opinion  4 STARS
This book was much better than the last and kept at a constant fast pace until the last few chapters where it practically went at a snails pace.

Gin is back to being her bad-assed self with all the other characters practically only having cameo roles in this novel.

Fin is still being vain, the relationship between Bria and Gin is blooming and the relationship between Gin and Owen is still stagnant

There is not too much left unanswered in this novel, however there are a few loose ends that can tie into another book, like there should be in all good series.

Altogether i'm pleased that this book was so much better than its predecessors.

Widow's Web (Elemental Assassin 7) - Jennifer Estep

The Book
Release Date: 21 August 2012

I used to murder people for money, but these days it’s more of a survival technique.

Once an assassin, always an assassin. So much for being plain old Gin Blanco. With every lowlife in Ashland gunning for me, I don’t need another problem, but a new one has come to town.

Salina might seem like a sweet Southern belle, but she’s really a dangerous enemy whose water elemental magic can go head-to-head with my own Ice and Stone power. Salina also has an intimate history with my lover, Owen Grayson, and now that she’s back in town, she thinks he’s hers for the taking.

Salina’s playing a mysterious game that involves a shady local casino owner with a surprising connection to Owen. But they call me the Spider for a reason. I’m going to untangle her deadly scheme, even if it leaves my love affair hanging by a thread.

My Opinion  3 STARS
This book really makes me want to punch Owen. The man really needs to 'man up', grow a pair of balls and not blame Gin, because he is.

Philip is a great character, and i hope to see more of him in the other coming novels in the series.

I feel, just like the previous book that the series has turned more towards Gin and her feelings than the assassin part, although we do see her growing as a character.

Hopefully the next book will be better than this one.

By a Thread (Elemental Assassin 6) - Jennifer Estep

The Book
Release Date: 28 February 2012

The sixth book in the USA TODAY bestselling Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series featuring Gin Blanco, who by day owns a Tennessee BBQ joint, and by night is a tough female assassin known as the Spider. I never thought I’d need a vacation from being an assassin….

My name is Gin Blanco, and I’m the assassin the Spider. All the Ashland’s lowlifes are gunning for me and trying to make a name for themselves by taking out the Spider. So I think it’s a good idea to get out of Ashland for a while until things cool down.

So I’m headed south to a swanky beach town, along with my baby sister, Bria, for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when an old friend of Bria’s is threatened by a powerful vampire with deadly elemental magic, it looks like I’ll have to dig my silverstone knives out of my suitcase after all. But this time, not even my own Ice and Stone power may be enough to save me from coming home in a pine box…

My Opinion  4 STARS
Hmmm....

Although the characters grow a lot in this book i did not find this book to be as good as the others even though i gave it the same amount of stars.

I admit, i was worried once Mab has been killed off that the series would stumble somewhat. But it hasn't.

Donovan, however, was portrayed as, well, weak. I mean come on, he has his fiancee but he can't get Gin out of his mind. RIIIGGHHTT. The man has lost his decency and now comes over as, well, wet. Well done Gin for turning your nose up at his in your own subtle way.

I do however have more respect and love somewhat more Owen. The love and respect he has for Gin, to let her do things that she needs to do, however it makes him feel. He's hardcore.

I look forward to see what the rest of the series brings.

Thread of Death (Elemental Assassin 5.5) - Jennifer Estep

The Book
Release Date: 31 January 2012

Gin Blanco, aka the assassin the Spider, might have finally killed her nemesis, Mab Monroe, but that doesn't mean that it's smooth sailing. Gin goes to Mab's funeral to say her goodbyes and runs into some of Ashland's most notorious underworld power players, including Jonah McAllister and Phillip Kincaid. McAllister wants her dead, and Kincaid has his own murky motives when it comes to the Spider, and Gin once again finds herself fighting for her life. Only this time, she might wind up in the cemetery right next to Mab.

My Opinion  4 STARS
This novella deals with the events of Mabs funeral and is told from the view of both Gin and Jonah.

An action packed novella, that for a change, does not repeat everything she always does. It makes you wonder if someone else wrote the story :)

It's a good story and it certainly sets the scene nicely for the next book in the series.

Spider's Revenge (Elemental Assassin 5) - Jennifer Estep

The Book
Release Date: 27 September 2011

Old habits die hard. And I plan on murdering someone before the night is through.

Killing used to be my regular gig, after all. Gin Blanco, aka the Spider, assassin-for-hire. And I was very good at it. Now, I’m ready to make the one hit that truly matters: Mab Monroe, the dangerous Fire elemental who murdered my family when I was thirteen.

Oh, I don’t think the mission will be easy, but turns out it’s a bit more problematic than expected. The bitch knows I’m coming for her. So now I’m up against the army of lethal bounty hunters she hired to track me down. She also put a price on my baby sister’s head. Keeping Bria safe is my first priority. Taking Mab out is a close second.

Good thing I’ve got my powerful Stone and Ice magic — and my irresistible lover Owen Grayson — to watch my back. This battle has been years in the making, and there’s a chance I won’t survive. But if I’m going down, then Mab’s coming with me...no matter what I have to do to make that happen.

My Opinion  4 STARS
This book is what we have all been waiting for - the show down between Gin and Mab.

The book as more action packed and we do learn some new details about Gin's past and get an idea at how influential Gin's family must have been and potentially wealthy.

The author has gone all out in the narrative for the major fight seen and you could really see it in your minds eye.

I'm not sure how this book can be topped.

Tangled Threads (Elemental Assassin 4) - Jennifer Estep

The Book
Release Date: 26 April 2011

I’d rather face a dozen lethal assassins any night than deal with something as tricky, convoluted, and fragile as my feelings.

But here I am. Gin Blanco, the semi-retired assassin known as the Spider. Hovering outside sexy businessman Owen Grayson’s front door like a nervous teenage girl. One thing I like about Owen: he doesn’t shy away from my past—or my present. And right now I have a bull’s-eye on my forehead.

Cold-blooded Fire elemental Mab Monroe has hired one of the smartest assassins in the business to trap me. Elektra LaFleur is skilled and efficient, with deadly electrical elemental magic as potent as my own Ice and Stone powers. Which means there’s a fifty-fifty chance one of us won’t survive this battle. I intend to kill LaFleur—or die trying—because Mab wants the assassin to take out my baby sister, Detective Bria Coolidge, too.

The only problem is, Bria has no idea I’m her long-lost sibling . . . or that I’m the murderer she’s been chasing through Ashland for weeks. And what Bria doesn’t know just might get us both dead. . . .

My Opinion  4 STARS
This book mostly focuses on Gin's feelings towards those around her and her changing and new feelings for Owen.

Although this book was good, its getting more and more annoying that she is always recapping in how people are attached to Gin or how their powers work or how her parents died. Do we need it in every book?

Its nice to see Gin and her sister reconciled and that they both now have blood family along with adopted family.

Despite all the recapping its still a good series to read.
