My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the third book in the series and can be read as a stand alone book as the brothers do not really communicate or cross wires.

Lorenzo is older than Kira, but we never really can a drop on their ages, but we know that it must be at least ten years.  Kira has looked up to Lorenzo since he helped her out at a do when she was around 10 and in her teens had a crush.

Now, the woman she has become has a thing for him, while he after his experiences just has preconceived ideas about her that turn out to be completely wrong.

Both have fears to get over, but it is not long before Kira warms up Lorenzo's heart towards her without him having realised how much.

Both can relate to each other and find strength and understanding where others have not given it where it was needed before.

Another great book in the series and i cannot wait for the next book.

REVIEW - Puck Me Baby (Bad Motherpuckers #4) by Lili Valente

The Book
Release Date: 30 November 2017
Goodreads Link

"You're going to be a daddy."

Looking up into Alexi Petrov’s dark eyes as I break the news, I’m scared out of my mind. This man is the most terrifying defender in the NHL, and if it weren't for my sporty new baby bump, I probably wouldn't believe we hooked up that night. (Yes, I’ve sworn off margaritas for life.)

But the Alexi who goes to my doctor appointments, moves me into his guesthouse, and cooks so many gourmet meals I look like I'm carrying twins? He isn’t scary at all.

He’s sweet. And intense. And so sexy I want to smear him with honey and lick it off every inch of his powerful, protective, oh-so-swoony-worthy body.

But that’s not a part of our relationship anymore. We’re friends who intend to raise a child together. That’s all…

Right?

****

There’s no way I can be just friends with Amanda Esposito.

She’s everything I want in a woman—strong, sexy, compassionate, a little bit wild—with curves for miles and a smile she smiles just for me.

I don’t know if I’ve got what it takes to be that guy—the one with his heart on his sleeve—but for this woman, I’ll try.

Amanda and our baby are my future, my family, and I’m prepared to cross check anyone or anything that stands in my way. Even if that someone is the tough guy in the mirror...

My Review  5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the fourth book in the series although it could possibly be read as a stand alone story.

Its book like these that could get me into sports as we don't have anything major where i live, so i have to live through books.  This is a book that hooks you in, gives you enough of the sport for you to feel a part of  it, but also makes you take in each character as a friend and you can't help but want them to get what they deserve, a happy ending.

Both Alexi and Amanda have been hurt in the past and both are hesitant to let go and move forward, but eventually it is Alexi that has the most important lesson to learn.

I loved these characters and really hope that this series continues.

‘Vampires and werewolves are so 2000. As in: over. Thanks to …Rae Rivers, we’re now totally hooked on witches.’ – No. 5 on Grazia SA’s ‘Ten Hot Things to Do List’

She nodded, not trusting herself to speak.
Just as she thought he'd kiss her, he reached for her jacket and said, "Then let's go."

One person can stop the madness. Jenna. She’s a Keeper to a powerful hybrid witch but she harbours a secret and if Jenna steps through the portal – seduced by the whispers of her hidden past – she may never return.

This book can be read as a stand alone, but i think i would have benefitted from reading the first books into getting to know the other characters a little better.

However, i LOVED this book.  It was really well put together, the characters were good, the world they lived in was explained well to the extent that you could really see how they lived and i felt totally immersed in the story, completely felt like i was there too.

It took me a little time to warm up to the story, but i am really glad that i gave this 'new to me' author a chance, i will certainly be looking for more of her work and will probably go back and read the other books in this series.

Totally worth reading and can't rate this book highly enough.

REVIEW - Tech Guy: A Single Dad Second Chance Romance by Anna Collins

The Book
Release Date: 12 September 2017
Goodreads Link

Of all the men in the world, he has to be the one to walk into the bar when I decide to have a drink.

Clay Maxwell. Bachelor. Tech billionaire. My new boss.

Oh, and school ex-boyfriend.

He wants me to help look after the troubled little girl left in his care because I'm a child psychologist.

But I should have said no. Because now, I'm the one who's going insane, torn between pain and pleasure, past and future, each day with Clay reminding me of what was and what might have been.

The problem with the mind is that the more you try to forget, the more you remember.

And I remember everything all too well.

*Tech Guy is a steamy, yet sweet STANDALONE contemporary romance of around 420 pages with a hot alpha billionaire single dad and his virgin lady. I don't enjoy cliffhangers or cheating, so you find any of them in here. I can also guarantee you a sweet happily-ever-after ♥

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a second chance at love romance with 13 years in between the couple having seen each other.

Clay is a successful man having built up his own company with a friend and now is very rich and has always loved his high school girlfriend, the girl he left behind to look after his sick mother.

Andrea has not had a boyfriend since Clay.  No one has held a candle to Clay, but after he left she moved on with her life and got the college degree she wanted.  She too is successful with child psychiatry.  She is also somehow a virgin at 28.

ITs a sweetbread as you see two people come back together and rekindle a lost romance that was only broken because of circumstance.  However, would things still have been so good had they not had the break in their relationship.

Worth a read.

REVIEW - The Gamble by Alice Ward

The Book
Release Date: 18 September 2017
Goodreads Link

I need a wife. She needs money. It's a gamble, but one month will solve both our problems.

Unimpressed with my billionaire playboy ways, my father has given me an ultimatum — settle down and get married before the investors’ meeting of Gaston Pharmaceuticals, or I’m out the door. Yeah... he’s a dick but he holds my future in his hands, so I need to play nice, for a while.

One problem is that the meeting is only a month from now. The second problem is that I’ve never dated a girl I liked well enough to spend an entire night with, let alone a month. So my best friend and I process my dilemma the best way we know how — by getting mind-blowingly drunk.

And just like that, I wake up in Vegas with an epic hangover... and a wife.

A beautiful wife. A fun wife. A caring and creative wife.

Now, all I have to do is convince her to stay married to me. I make her a promise. In four short weeks, we’ll quietly annul this farce and go our separate ways. I’ll get my life back. She’ll get hers plus some cash.

There’s just one little complication. I think I'm falling for her. As luck would have it, she hates my guts.

This is a Full-Length STANDALONE billionaire romance novel with an HEA and NO CLIFFHANGER.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I really liked this book.  Its a what happens in Vegas book, but of course it never really stays there, especially as both characters live near the edges of Vegas.

Talen is a bit of a party boys at the weekend but works hard during the week, but seems to have daddy issues, especially as his dad seems to be a nasty character.

Dani right from the beginning is a caring soul and wants to help her mother as much as she can, and ends up using her nurturing nature to help Talen in more ways than one.  But this woman is no rollover.

Its a good book, has a strong start and finishes in a good place, however i would have loved a reconnection and possibly a baby on the way, but it was a good ending.

REVIEW - Winning Her Brother's Best Friend (Tea for Two Book 2) by Noelle Adams

The Book
Release Date: 20 September 2017

Ginny Hart loves men. And she loves dating. She just doesn't want a serious relationship. She's tried it before--with her brother's best friend, Ryan--and it's clear she's not cut out for it. So she'll keep having fun and focusing on the new tea shop she recently opened with her best friend.

That's all she needs in her life.

She definitely doesn't need Ryan, who is always hanging around and has turned into a real player. When he challenges her to prove which of them is more popular with the opposite sex, she takes him up on the bet. One month. Four Saturday nights. She'll show him she's not still holding on to old feelings. It doesn't matter if she can't seem to keep her hands off him.

She's not about to let him win.

Fifteen years ago, three girls were thrown together because their brothers were best friends. Now they're all grown up, and their brothers are grown up too. The Tea for Two series tells their stories.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a really sweet series with a slight christian angle and quite clean.

This second instalment has Ginny, Noah's little sister finding that actually she is ready for a relationship again, however, its a past love she wants.  Ryan, and her best friends older brother.

Ryan has always held a torch for Ginny and has never stopped loving her, but it is after a bet by their friends that has the two of them reconnecting in a way that they had not hoped would happen again.

Again all three sets of brothers and sisters are there for each other and bolsters each other up when needed and give a bit of a shove where required, proving that they are a close knit group.

I really loved this book and cannot wait to read Patrick and Carols story.

Still, he may no longer want her when he discovers her secrets…ones she doesn’t even know she has.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This can be read as a stand alone book, you may not get the depth of the other characters and what they have suffered to quite the extent of reading the other books, but i read this one quite happily and the author helps fill in the blanks where required.

Marcie, Maeve or Margaret as she ends up calling hers self has been in previous books and is a nasty character, however it is not too long into the book before she totally changed changes.

The Alien race has been well thought out and we get a good idea of who they are and what they wish to accomplish on Earth.  We get a good detailed description of what they look like and their mannerisms.

It was a good book and i will certainly end up reading the first two books and looking more into this author.

REVIEW - The Seeing Place by Aziza Eden Walker

The Book
Release Date: 14 February 2016
Goodreads Link

Hot-shot producer Thuli Poni is holding auditions for her latest play in Cape Town. Andile Sebe is an up-and-coming star, just waiting for his big break. Thuli casts Andile and challenges him to link his painful past with the role he is portraying, leading him to open up to her. The two fall for each other and a passionate romance ensues.

But when auditions open for Sins of the Fathers, the most-watched TV show in South Africa, Thuli turns cold. Will she play a part in Andile’s rise to fame, or will she hinder it?

This is a story about how love can triumph against the odds if we stay humble, take risks and are willing to learn. The Seeing Place offers a very different kind of romance – between a powerful woman and a man who wants something only she can offer.

My Review 2 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This book is one i struggled with and i ended up having to skim read it as i do hate not to finish a book.

The book could have done with a pronunciation page along with a page that explained what some of the words meant.  As this is a South African author some of the words used meant absolutely nothing to me, such as the endearments etc so i was like "What"?

Thuli is a 28 year old with money who is in cape town for audition for her play.  When she meets Andile the attraction is instant from both sides and we get both points of view.  However the story jumps from each persons point of view without warning and often jumps in time without warning which can lead to initial confusion.

Not an author i will be reading again.

REVIEW - Fool Me Once (First Wives #1) by Catherine Bybee

The Book
Release Date: 19 September 2017
Goodreads Link

From Weekday Brides to First Wives, a dazzling series about four women and their alliance of newfound friendship, unexpected love, and second chances.
Cynical divorce attorney Lori Cumberland lives by one motto: Love is grand, but divorce is a hundred grand. With one failed marriage under her own personal belt, Lori had fallen hard and early—and it isn’t something she plans on repeating. She’s content focusing on the temporary marriages of her rich and famous clients. When she joins some of her recent divorcées on a celebratory cruise, her only vow is fun, sun, and new friends. But Lori finds herself tempted by a jury of one.
For Reed Barlow, falling into the world of private investigation was easy. He knows the law and knows how to avoid breaking it—all while doing his job. His rule to live by? No emotion, no involvement…until Lori. His charming smile and cocky attitude distracts Lori and lowers her guard, which is exactly what Reed desires.
But what appears as a one-time-only flirtation may be a plot orchestrated by Reed. As he’s taking his investigation to a dangerous level, it’s Lori who could end up in jeopardy. Reed has only one shot for Lori to grant him a second chance. But if he comes clean with her, he blows his cover. And that just might cost him the opportunity for an alliance of family…and of love.
My Review  5 STARS
**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Montlake Romance for an honest review**

We have previously met Lori in a previous series, The Weekday Brides, and now we get the chance to meet the single lady.

Lori is a mother hen and feels responsible for all the ladies that cross her path, especially if they meet through Alliance, the company her friends work for.

Reed has a job to do and very quickly finds that Lori is loyal, friendly, takes responibiltiy for her friends and helps them to the best of her abilities.

Catherine gives me a little of everything that i want, hot romance, the best of friends, suspense, drama and a happy ever after along with the knowledge that other characters in the story are also going to get their happy ever after.

You just cannot help but root for all of the girls to get the happiness they need and deserve.
