REVIEW - Twisted (Dark Protectors #5.5) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Book
Release Date: 20 June 2013
Goodreads Link

Maggie is a wolf shifter who was captured and experimented on by the Kurjans. Now that a cure has finally been found for shifters (although not for vampire mates or witches), she can concentrate on creating a new life for herself and finally accepting that her memories are gone forever. Most memories, that is. Sometimes in the hazy world between dreams and dawn, she hears a Scottish voice, dark and deep, that sounds suspiciously like wolf-shifter Terrent Vilks. A man she happened to anger by kidnapping a few years back. Hey, it was for a good cause.

Terrent Vilks knows more than he’s let on for the past several years. After digging for answers, he knows exactly why the demons want Maggie dead. And he remembers his past with Maggie…very well. She is finally where he wants her. Now all he has to do is discover what exactly the Kurjans did to her, beat the demons into so much submission they leave her alone, and get her to fall in love with him. Again. Good thing he’s used to wrangling monsters.

31,000 Word Count

My Review  5 STARS
Although i liked this book, we have seen so much of Maggie in previous books that i feel that she really deserved her own full length book and that a novella just gives us a glimpse of her past and the woman.

Terrent was just the wolf for Maggie and he was brilliant for her, and i am glad that the pack that he lived with, although not actually part of, trusted and respected him like they did.

Lots of action is packed into this book and although Maggie does not get her memories back, she learns more about the woman she is and was and it makes her all the more stronger, especially with Torrent at her side.

Torrent showed his soft side, his very alpha side and his vulnerable sides in this book and it was nice to see a little more of the man and the compromises they both come to in order to be by each others sides.

A TIME FOR WAR…

A casualty of the war between the demons and the vampires, Jase Kayrs has been missing for six long years. His older brothers want answers—but they’re going to have to get them from an unlikely source. For when Kane Kayrs tracks down Amber Freebird, what he finds is a blonde, vegan pacifist who has no intention of using her skills in his war…

A TIME FOR LOVE…

Amber enjoys her life of chaotic freedom and has no intention of falling in line just because a sexy-as-sin vampire insists on order. Unfortunately, he discovers she may be the only hope they have of finding his brother, and there’s no way he’s going to let her go—even if it means mating her to gain her cooperation. The two are as different as can be, yet when the dominant Kane and the untamed Amber finally unite to rescue Jase, they just may find that opposites really do attract…

My Review  5 STARS
Finally it is the turn of the 'smart' brother Kane.  The brother that loves science, has a zen room and loved to hunt werewolves by himself in his spare time.

The years have move on yet a little more with the present war, Janie is now 21, Garrett is a 15yr old boy and Kane and Emma are still working on a cure for the virus.

In this book we have less of Kane in the lab and its more in the open or in his bedroom followed by a little time in Scotland.

The vampires have finally found their weapon against the demons with Amber Freebird and her grandmother, however logical Kane does not understand his feelings towards Amber and finds himself strangely reluctant to put her in any danger.

Amber is spunky and does not put up with Kane's bossiness and is a also a vegan and has Kane eating Tofu and thinking about other things.

There is quite a bit of action in this book and we get to see more of Janie, Zane and Kalin in the dream world, we also get some of the story in Jace's point of view with his time with the Demons.

I was really happy that they managed to get Jace back and cannot wait to have his story told and how he recovers and the war progresses.

REVIEW - Consumed (Dark Protectors #4) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Book
Release Date: 5 July 2012

SOMETIMES YOU MATE FOR LIFE

Katie Smith is the best of her class, part of an elite hunting force trained to eliminate werewolves from the hills of Western Virginia. She's good at it because she has the kind of focus and drive that won't back down no matter how steep the odds. Call it southern sass. Whatever it is, there's no denying her willingness to risk everything for the only man she's ever cared about—a man on the verge of losing his very humanity. . .

SOMETIMES YOU MATE TO STAY ALIVE

For the past ten years Jordan Pride has dedicated his life to protecting his people from a deadly shifter virus. But in a rare moment of distraction, Jordan's guard drops just long enough for his fate to take an irreversible twist. Unless the woman he loves surrenders everything to him, again and again, under a full moon rising. . .

My Review  5 STARS
In all of the previous books we have watched the attraction between both Jordan Pride and Katie and of how they have helped with the war in any way that they can.

Katie has previously been infected and now ten years have passed since the beginning of the war and she has found a new way in life with a job in the police force and with two male shifters in killing werewolves as she can sense them.

Katie has loved Jordan since he rescued her as a 4yr old cub running from her foster father, scared and after having shifted for the very first time.

Jordan has been keeping his attraction from Katie, but it is only after something happens to threaten his time on earth that he finally admits that he wants her, but in true fashion it takes Katie to challenge him of him to finally claim her as his.

We still get to see the progression of the war, new characters come in to play and make demands and we get to see more of our beloved characters from previous books.

I am seriously loving this series.

REVIEW - Hunted (Dark Protectors #3) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Book
Release Date: 24 April 2012

Ready Or Not
Moira Dunne is a witch--the quantum physics kind. Time and space are her playthings. Which might explain why her one-night stand from a hundred years ago has turned up to "claim" her--and request her family's assistance with the war he's brewing. But the more she learns about Connlan Kayrs, the more she comes to think this is normal behavior for him. . .
There's Nowhere To Hide
When Conn and Moira tumbled on the moonlit grass, Conn hadn't meant to mark her as his mate for all time. She was only twenty! But it wasn't easy to wait for her. It was even harder to forget her. So when he finally returns for his wicked-hot witch, he's ready to let the sparks flying. Even if he burns up in flames. . .
"Paranormal at its best!" --Cynthia Eden
Praise for the Novels of Rebecca Zanetti
"Hot and fast from beginning to end." --Kate Douglas on "Fated"

My Review  5 STARS
Conn has certainly found his match with Moira.   The Irish witch is certainly feisty, strong and a fighter.

Moira has been mentioned in a few book and we have have gotten to know her a little in book two where she helps out Emma with virus-27, however, now we get to see the full her, her duties as an enforcer and the rules and strength that she has.

Conn, just like in the previous books is a strong alpha male and like his brothers goes for what he wants and makes sure that his mate knows this and eventually wears down the barrier between them so that Moria excepts all of him, even if it means shifting his thinking just a little.

This book continues on about 8 months on from book two and the upcoming war is still coming, the tensions between the realm and other groups are fragile, the story continues and we get just a little more of the bigger picture.  I cannot wait to see what happens next.

The book, let alone the series is really sucking me in and i just eat up the pages, inhaling the story wanting more and more.

I look forward to the growing of the overall picture and seeing how it all comes together.

REVIEW - Tempted (Dark Protectors #2.5) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Book
Release Date: 27 March 2012

CONSTANT DANGER

On the run from a mental institution and her vindictive half-brother, it's safe to say that Sarah Pringle's happy life as a schoolteacher is on hold. Too bad that as far as self-defense goes, "run and hide" is the best she's got. And with the monsters that started her escape hot on her heels, that's not going to cut it for long...

INSTANT LUST
That is, unless Sarah has a bigger, badder, hotter monster on her side. Max Petrovsky is right at the top of the list of alpha male ass-kickers. And he knows exactly what Sarah's up against. Good thing, because the minute he sees her something primal kicks in, turning everyday attraction into red-hot desire. As long as they're cooperating, why not mix some pleasure with business? Of course, Max should probably tell Sarah he's a vampire himself...<

My Review  4 STARS
This is a wonderful novella about the brilliant guard that is Max who has been looking after Janie and letting her paint his fingernails.

Here Max is on a job and he has to find Sarah and get her to sell her family shares to the Vampires.  Sarah is on the run from an institute along with the Kurjans.

This is a fast paced novella and both characters quickly realise that there is no other than the person before them.  Max is also there for Sarah when she needs him and is your typical male alpha male thinking his demands will be met by his female. HA!

Sarah is a strong character and Max just happens to fall in her lap when she needs him and has the perfect solution to her predicament, especially after her nasty brother has ruined her life.

REVIEW - Claimed (Dark Protectors #2) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Book

A Daring Rescue Emma Paulsen is a geneticist driven by science. But she's also a psychic, so when a dark, good-hearted vampire frees her from the clutches of the evil Kurjans, she realizes he must be the man who's been haunting her dreams. But with a virus threatening vampires' mates, Emma may discover a whole new meaning of "lovesick".

A Deadly Decision As King of the Realm, Dage Kayrs has learned to practice diplomacy. Still, it's taken three hundred years to find his mate, so he'll stop at nothing to protect her—even if it means turning his back on his own kind...

My Review  5 STARS
This book focuses on Emma, Cara's sister from book one and Dage, the oldest brother and King of this set of vampires.

Dage has had visions of Emma for the last two hundred years and has waited patiently to find her.  Finding out she is Cara's sister sends I'm into finding the woman who has been hiding from the Kurjan.

Emma has also been having visions of Dage, but for the last decade or more.  But her visions always end badly and she does not want that for him, especially once she finally meets the man and learns more about him.

Emma certainly brings her knowledge of genetics into the mix to help in the ongoing saga of the cure for the virus that the Kurjans have created and works hard to help her sister and the baby along with others who get infected.

We get a few more characters, lots of previous characters and a brilliant ongoing story that captivates and brings you in, certainly helping you invest yourselves in the characters and wishing that things end out ok and that we can have a happy ending.

I cannot wait to see what happens next.

REVIEW - Fated (Dark Protectors #1) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Book
Release Date: 1 March 2011
Goodreads Link

Marry Me! Cara Paulsen does not give up easily. A scientist and a single mother, she's used to fighting for what she wants, keeping a cool head, and doing whatever it takes to protect her daughter Janie. But "whatever it takes" has never before included a shotgun wedding to a dangerous-looking stranger with an attitude problem.

Or Else! Sure, the mysterious Talen says that he's there to protect Cara and Janie. He also says that he's a three-hundred-year-old vampire. Of course, the way he touches her, Cara might actually believe he's had that long to practice. . .

My Review  5 STARS
This book certainly gripped me from the beginning with the explosive entry of Talan after Janie wakes up Cara from Janie's bad dream.

Talan is your very alpha male, very over the top on being protective and trying to make sure that Cara knows that she is his and that he does not like to be  told no.  Or for Cara to do her own thing in helping others.

We meet a big cast of characters from Talen's brothers, Cara's sister Emma, nice shifters and the bad vampires.  We also get a good idea that war is brewing and we are currently on the lead up to it with more drama and more men finding their mates along the way.

It certainly seems like this is going to be my kind of series and i cannot wait to see how the story continues in the series.

This anthology certainly gives you a wide range of stories all based around a wedding somehow.  I have read books from most of these authors, however there are some new to me authors who i will probably be looking into soon, as all the novellas were really well written.

Some of the stories were gripping more than others in the sense that that i would want to read more in a series if there is one and i am certainly looking forward to reading more from these authors.

This is certainly not an anthology to miss as all the novellas are quite short and are toe perfect time filler reads.

REVIEW - Office Mate (Milford College #2) by Noelle Adams

The Book
Release Date: 21 August 2019
Goodreads Link

The last thing I want is to share my beautiful office with an uptight, unfriendly new English professor. I don't care if he's incredibly hot. He's still the worst office mate in the world.

We're stuck together for a year, and that might be too long for me to resist discovering what's hiding beneath his buttoned-up appearance.

Office Mate is the second book in the Milford College series, novellas about the faculty and staff of a small liberal arts college.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I do like a workplace romance and this novella has everything i could hope for.  It has angst, romance, sweetness along with some sex.

Beck does not really want to share her office with another faculty member, but due to an office shortage, has to share her office with the new English Teacher for a year.  Evan rubs her the wrong way when he immediately starts moving things and not responding well to her friendliness and trying to get his to talk.

Beck is not one to be deterred and likes to think of herself as friendly and likes to get to know people and Evan does not give her much and only really talks about work stuff so she never gets to the real him.

When things do happen both characters hide things until Beck blows and Evan has to explain why he is so closed off until they eventually get to understand where they are going and what they both want.

I really enjoyed this book, and we get an idea in the epilogue as to is going to be featured in the next novella in the series.

Sometimes even love is too heavy to float.

Jo is running away even if she can’t admit that to herself. Afraid of what the future holds, she’s looking for an escape and a chance to forget. Her soul is too heavy to float and she’s ready to let it all go and sink to the bottom.

Olly ran a long time ago. He’s remained on this little rock in the middle of the ocean for so long that the rest of the world has disappeared. Now he’s ready to leave the island and his past behind him.

She wasn’t looking for a holiday romance. He was ready for new adventures.

When these two lost souls collide, everything changes. Will Olly give up his future to be a part of hers? Could Jo forget the past and fall in love with the boy who smells like the ocean she’s so afraid of?

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This story pulled me in.  It has a hurd undercurrent in where it shows Jo overcoming her grief at her dead fiancee and with the depression that seems to have stopped her life since then along with the survivor grief.

Olly has been on an island for eight years, running from his own pain, which he has put behind him, he now has his goal and friends behind him.

When Jo and Olly meet on the island where Jo and her friend are spending the summer, Jo and Olly connect and are able to share things they thought impossible.  They make each other feel better and Olly is brilliant at bringing Jo back to life and to a better version of her new self.

Both characters are strong, even if it does not seem so to them and they really compliment each other and put each other straight if needed, eventually to their own friends.

I really enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the second book I have read by this author, the second book in the series, and I am not disappointed.

We get to see a little of the previous book couple Brant and Molly, however we do get to see more characters involved which is nice.  Desdi is certainly quite a character and you cannot help but love her.

Tucker is former military and has not yet gotten over the death of his friends and team before he came out of the miliary and struggles especially at night time.  It is only when his world is upended when Elisa collapses in his garage.

Elisa is very much down on her luck and when she finds herself out of a job and out of her home she packes up her daughter Daisy Elisabeth and they head out for Charlston, however they never get there.

Both help each other out in ways that they did not see coming and it was lovely to see how everyone rallied around and helped not only Elisa and her daughter, but Tucker too.

I have been really enjoying this series and cannot wait until the third brother gets his happy ending.

WOW.  An epic ending to this series and so many twists and turns, will they won't they and who is the villain in the who tale.

Bex takes his time but he does finally come out and say how he feels about Rose, however things are never truly straight forward, especially as he seems to have a bit of a hero complex.

Rose, frustrated by Bex goes forth to live her life without regret, but she wants Bex and taunts at him to get a response.

I was completely caught up in this book, just like with all the other books that i have read by this author, she is more than just a one click author for me, she is a MUST READ author.

REVIEW - The Sheikh’s Wife Arrangement (The Safar Sheikhs Series Book 1) by Leslie North

The Book
Release Date: 12 August 2019
Goodreads Link

Ancient law dictates that Sheikh Fatim Safar has to marry or be disinherited by his 30th birthday. Fatim isn’t worried—he married years earlier and had two children with his wife before she died. But there’s a catch: the law states he must be married at age 30. Two weeks from his 30th birthday, there’s no time to change it or fight it...it’s more expedient to marry.

Calla Clark is out to prove her parents wrong. Instead of marrying well like her mother wanted, Calla’s in the Middle East to prove her design prowess. And what better way to do that then becoming seamstress for the royal family and getting to drape fabric over the sexy Sheikh’s rock-hard body. She can’t act on her temptations, of course. She’s got goals to crush. Still, when she watches the way the Sheikh commands his tribe, and cares for his kids, she can’t help but feel an undeniable attraction.

Fatim has taken a liking to Calla, too. She’s smart, thoughtful, and good with his children. With his birthday right around the corner, Fatim offers her the position as his wife. It’s only temporary, and in return for marrying him and helping with his children, he’ll give her everything she needs for the upcoming Fashion Week. Calla agrees...so long as he helps keep her dream alive.

With so many differences between them, Fatim and Calla’s powerful pairing could raise the tribe up to modern heights, or send it to the bin like last season’s cast-offs.

This novel contains sexual content and profanity.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to Hidden Gems and the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I enjoyed this book, it has certainly been a while since i read a book with Sheikh's in and they usually run in a certain theme and this one was no different.

Calla started out as a really strong character until she has her son, then she seems to be so much more as just a mom to her son and bends to do anything as long as it helps her son.

Fatim as the only heir to the throne gets what he wants, but is not as portrayed by the media and Calla catches his eye.  He is otherwise just as expected, however he does fix his mistakes and they make a lovely couple.

We do not get an epilogue, however we do get a few chapters that are like epilogues further in the future to see how our pair and their family are getting on.

I’m carrying a secret more valuable to the royal family than gold.

The Prince’s baby is kicking in my belly, but as much as I love the man, I don’t dare let him know.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to Hidden Gems and the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

The scene is set when Diplomat Alison Smith first meets Prince Sebastian at a meeting that is father is supposed to be present at, but has delegated his son to be there instead.

Alison manages to get more than just the Prince's attention and before she knows what is happening her week is filled with Prince Sebastian taking up all her spare time before she has to head back home.  This happens earlier than expected when they are found out and she flees home before something can be leaked to the press.

The book fast forwards quite a bit at times and we stop again when the baby is five months old and Alison is struggling, living with her sister and getting help from her assistant Klaus and has not taken her baby out of the house.  This is where the sister pushes her and the baby out for a walk and they are then discovered and the Prince finds out he has a son.

Most of the 'drama' could have been sorted if Sebastian had man'ed up and told his dad that he was a father earlier and let the world know, instead he hides Alison and his son and thereby creates more problems.

In some ways this reminds me of the old mills and boon books and instead of epilogues we get extra chapters further down the line where the child is sixteen and further down when are couple have been married for forty years.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This book has recently been revamped with a new cover for todays market and being a one click author for me, and a series that i had not yet been able to get to i decided to take the plunge and start this series.

This is certainly different from the authors more current works, but i really enjoyed it and i was not sure at first if it would be my kind of thing.

The book starts out in the present with Tara and her friend Casey going to a faire for the weekend where they have to dress up in clothing from the 15th century and also act the part.

Duncan and his brother Fin have been sent forward in time to help thwart the evil Grainna who needs a consenting virgin to help her with her evil plans.

We end up in the 15th century with Duncan and Fin having taken Tara back with them and the plot thickens and Duncan and Tara get closer.

I really enjoyed this book and the closeness for Duncans family and way of life.  I really look forward to reading the rest of the series at some point soon.

This is the very last novella in the series and it certainly delivers in all the best ways.

We have kidnapping, marriage, a baby, betrayal, a big ass fight, rescue, survival and much more all brought together to give us the final ending of this series.

We get to see a little of Liam in this book too which is also nice and we get to see more of some older characters too.

I really enjoyed this series and would be more than happy to get a few new novella's in Drago's other land to see how they are getting on.

The Chosen is the single title release of the novella that was previously published in the holiday anthology AMID THE WINTER SNOW in December, 2017.

My Review  3 STARS
This was an interesting novella and although part of the Elder Races, it is set in one of the Other Worlds and we see not other connection to the previous Elder Race books at all.

We have The Chosen one who has the gift of sight and a wolf shifter who has come for help, however Lily finds that the man who has come is not the man that she was expecting hm to be and that the Abby that she lives in cannot say objective any longer and must takes sides in an upcoming war.

I nice little novella, just not what i was expecting after all the previous books.

REVIEW - Liam Takes Manhattan (Elder Races #9.5) by Thea Harrison

The Book
Release Date: 22 December 2015
Goodreads Link

Warning: This story contains a major spoiler from SHADOW’S END (book #9, released December 1st, 2015). If readers do not want to be spoiled, they should read the stories in order of their release dates.

This is a short story (15,000 words or 50 pages) intended for readers of the Elder Races who enjoy Liam Cuelebre as a character.

Reeling from a deep loss, the magical prince of the Wyr, Dragos and Pia’s son Liam Cuelebre, turns inward and withdrawn as he struggles to come to terms with who he is, along with the challenges that lie before him.

Hoping to ease his heartache and offer comfort, a concerned Dragos and Pia offer him a gift, something he has desired for a long time. Liam’s response has a ripple effect across all of New York. Soon miracles of all kinds start arriving just in time for Christmas, along with a visit from a mysterious person who gives Liam hope and a vision of his future.

LIAM TAKES MANHATTAN is the third part of a three-story series about Pia, Dragos, and their son, Liam. Each story stands alone, but fans might want to read all three: DRAGOS GOES TO WASHINGTON, PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD, and LIAM TAKES MANHATTAN.

My Review  3 STARS
This is a very short novella, more of just a short story and focuses on a teenage Liam and his struggles and feelings as he is growing up and trying to find his way in the world.

This novella happens to just overlap the very ending of the previous book and can be summed up in a few words really.

It was a nice story, but it really needed more substance.

RELEASE BLITZ + REVIEWS - KILL DEVIL HILLS (THE COMPLETE BOX SET) by Sarah Darlington

The Kill Devil Hills Complete Series Box Set
Author: Sarah Darlington
Release Date: August 5th 2019
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary Romance
--------------------------------------------------------

One event—the death of Ben Turner—will forever change the lives of a group of young adults. Set in the beach town of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, this series is an emotional, surprising, sweet, romantic collection of 4 interconnected stand-alone novels.

Book 1: KILL DEVIL HILLS
Noah is determined to escape his past and keep his life under control. Then he saves the life of his best friend’s little sister, Georgina Turner — who is battling her own demons. He can't get her out of his head, even if Georgina tears down the emotional walls he so carefully built.

The Review  5 STARS

This book has been really well written and covers a subject that can be difficult to write about, let alone read about. However i think that the author covered the topic of almost suicide really well and compassionately.

Georgina is a troubled young woman who after the death of her only brother, took things very hard, but it is her oldest sisters best friend Noah that finds her.

Noah also has his own issues of anxiety in which he often ends up cleaning to calm himself down. However after the sucicide attempt, Noah can't get Georgina out of her mind, and when she comes back he finds that he still cannot get her out of his head.

The chemistry between the two starts from the very night that she is back home and they both compliment each other and end up being just the person each needs to get over their ordeals and to just feel themselves and comfortable again.
Two really well thought out and written characters.

Book 2: CHANGING TIDES
For years Ellie Turner's had a crush on television actor, Nate West. But it doesn't matter because Ellie's always strictly been into women and Nate doesn't exist in real life. In real life Ellie has her own issues to worry about. So when the pair meets on an airplane, nothing life changing should have come from it.

The Review  4 STARS
I actually really liked this book, although i would say Ellie is bisexual and not a lesbian.

I was glad that Ellie gets a story, however, changing her sexual orientation may be taken badly by other readers and I'm not sure how real this seems.

I loved that Ellie stayed true to the person that she is and that she gave as good as she got back to Nate, but i think that she gave in a little too easily and there was not enough in regards to mixed feelings as to why this was the only man that she felt any attraction too.
I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

Book 3: PULLED UNDER
When Sydney Michaels' lifelong crush—Ben Turner—died and she struggled to get through her grief, she decided to give up her virginity to Rhett Morgan, the most promiscuous guy in town, in hopes that he'd be the ultimate distraction. Only problem...Sydney only wanted one night. Rhett wants more.

The Review  4 STARS
Rhett is your typical man whore, however a second encounter with shy a first Sydney has him changing his ways as he o-so-fast falls in love with her wanting to change his ways and have his first proper girlfriend.

Sydney has always had a crush on Ben Turner and twice in a row she has used Rhett to help get over the feeling. At the end you certainly think that Ben is a tool and needs to sort himself out.
Rhett sometimes acts a little wet or a little too emotional and a little immature for his age, Sydney however does not give him enough credit.

Glad they end up together, but i can't wait for Ben's story and to find out why he did what he did and who he falls in love with to turn his life around for.

Book 4: ADRIFT
Ben Turner is back! After unsuccessfully faking his own death, he's back home in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. With no plans for college or the future, and hated by the town that once loved him, Ben feels like he’s drowning. Until he meets the girl next door, and she changes everything.

Recommended for readers 18+ due to sexy scenes, explicit language, and adult themes.

The Review  5 STARS
We start to get to know Ben a little bit before in books two and three in the series, but this can be read as a stand alone book.

The book takes place well after Ben's return from the dead. He has completed his sentence in Prison and is now on probation.

Juniper feels that her past life choices have made her weak and that her judgement of men is off, but a simple white lie has her pretending to be someone she is not in order to make a new life for herself.

Ben and Juniper have chemistry from the beginning, but with their pasts are slow to start things up with each other, however they find that it is only with each other can they relax and be more of themselves.

We get to see all of the other previous characters in tis book which help out when required showing a strong family bond.

I really liked this book and would be more than happy to read this series all over again.
