The Book

I’m carrying a secret more valuable to the royal family than gold.

The Prince’s baby is kicking in my belly, but as much as I love the man, I don’t dare let him know.

My Review  4 STARS
**My thanks to Hidden Gems and the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

The scene is set when Diplomat Alison Smith first meets Prince Sebastian at a meeting that is father is supposed to be present at, but has delegated his son to be there instead.

Alison manages to get more than just the Prince's attention and before she knows what is happening her week is filled with Prince Sebastian taking up all her spare time before she has to head back home.  This happens earlier than expected when they are found out and she flees home before something can be leaked to the press.

The book fast forwards quite a bit at times and we stop again when the baby is five months old and Alison is struggling, living with her sister and getting help from her assistant Klaus and has not taken her baby out of the house.  This is where the sister pushes her and the baby out for a walk and they are then discovered and the Prince finds out he has a son.

Most of the 'drama' could have been sorted if Sebastian had man'ed up and told his dad that he was a father earlier and let the world know, instead he hides Alison and his son and thereby creates more problems.

In some ways this reminds me of the old mills and boon books and instead of epilogues we get extra chapters further down the line where the child is sixteen and further down when are couple have been married for forty years.
