REVIEW - Knocked Up by the Rockstar (Mile High Rocked, #2) by Christina Hovland

 The Book

Release Date: 10 December 2021

The only thing music publicist Courtney Lincoln dislikes more than knock-off sugary breakfast cereal is Dimefront’s lead singer—Brennan “Bax” Baxter. So when she discovers she’s pregnant following one teeny, tiny, mind-blowing morning with her nemesis, her world tumbles upside down.

Dimefront is on the rocks. Again. Bax is ready to move on. But following the implosion of his engagement, he makes a slip-up that ties him to Courtney as unlikely co-parents. He doesn’t like Courtney. Doesn’t care for how she’s able to see straight through the façade he’s painstakingly curated. But he’s always wanted a family and he’s being offered that chance.

Now the band is mending fences, there’s a baby on the way, and feelings start getting tangled. Maybe Bax isn’t really such a jerk? Perhaps Courtney could be the woman of his dreams? Or, maybe, just maybe, they were right all along…

My Review  5 STARS

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Courtney is Linx's little sister and the publicist with the band.  However even though Courtney and Max used to get on as children, something happened to them whilst on tour and they have been like enemies ever since.

This book overlaps the first book a little, but when Bax finds himself in trouble after his girlfriend cheats on him, he needs a place to lie low and their manager gives Bad to Courtney to look after.  The first night at her place and things take a major turn, leading Bax to skedaddle.

Unfortunately this one time leads to consequences.  Courtney finds out she is pregnant and has to let her family know, this is turn results in Bax knowing and Line and Bax having a confrontation.

Bax does his best to turn things around and man up, doing his best to be calm and non-confrontational with Courtney which she finds strange, but he does his best not to fuck things up and to be there for Courtney and the baby, there is a little miscommunication, but as ever we get a lovely ending and the beginning of a new couple on the scene.

I really enjoyed this story and I am really looking forward to the next story in the series with this band.
