Running away from home on an impromptu vacation Callie flees to Ottawa but finds herself in trouble again just on the first night.
With only one person that she can call that might pick up, Callie calls Derrick her former college friend and crush only to find herself in a totally new world of beings and magic she had never heard of before.
Thrust into a position she is not sure she is ready for, only Callie and Derrick can make sense of what is going on around them whilst they fight against the forbidden attraction between them.
The book had me guessing what was going to happen next and continuing to turn the pages and I never saw the baddie coming.
I hope that the author continues this book into a series and we get to see more of the Sentinels world.
