Forensic accountant Annie Griffin has always suspected she's a bit jinxed, so when she finds herself 35, single, temporarily homeless, and pregnant on a technicality by a gigolo, her fears are confirmed.

Adrenaline junkie and professional stuntman Max Bowen needs a house-sitter to watch after his pets while he's out of town. Annie needs a place to stay. Standard quid pro quo. No biggie. She can handle that, whatever hellhounds he owns. Until Max, the most sought-after bachelor in the county, comes back ahead of schedule and suddenly she's roommates with a 27-year old sex God who turns out to be so much more than what she expected.

Max might have had the attention span of a humming bird on crack when it comes to women, but that was before Annie. Her quirkiness and sweet contradictions soon captivate him, not that she's inclined to give him the time of the day. With his reputation preceding him, he knows the odds are badly stacked against him, but he will do his best to prove her that he's what she needs, stuck-up socialite grandmothers, doomsday preppers, groupies, pregnancy hormones, and repentant biological dads be damned.

My Opinion  5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Well the reading was certainly worth the wait for this edition to the series.

Max was like all of the other Bowen men.  When the man decides he wants something, he pursues it until he gets what he wants, but he does in in such a way that the woman ends up feeling the better for it.

Max is strong, funny, sexy and very much there for everything that Annie could possibly want him for.  His possessive streak is cute, but he very much looks out for and protects his girl, even if it means he ends up getting hurt.

Annie was another witty character, a little older than Max, so she initially has some issues with his age, however Max soon cures her of that.  Annie has her insecurities along with a few 'accidents' that turn out to be quite nasty, but she is a strong character and with Max at her side, never crumbles.

It really was a gripping yet sexy novel that had me turning page after page, just needing to know what what going to happen next.  It even gives us a few surprises and gives us an equally cute epilogue five years down the line.

I am desperately hoping that book 4 Jacked Up will not take as long to be published, but if it is anything like this novel.... i won't really mind :)
