This steamy, fast-paced paranormal romance series by Sharonlee Holder is perfect for fans of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward and Sacrificed to the Dragon by Jessie Donovan.

PHOEBE Oneiroi, a rare scion of the Underworld believed to have died a thousand years ago, has one weakness—Alexander Heracles Arlington. And only one rule when it comes to him—no kissing!
XANE, aka Alexander Heracles Arlington, expected by all to rise and take his place as leader of the Heracleans, is at the top of his game in the Custodial Intelligence Community. When it comes to sexual liaisons, there are only two rules—never bed a work colleague, and never let his heart get involved.
But when he’s stuck at the airport in the company of beautiful stranger, Xane will learn just how much harm letting off a little steam really can cause…
As secrets unfold and loyalties are questioned, all bets are off in this fast-paced novella set in the steamy Blood of The Custodians world during the tumultuous blizzard of the century. With lives and hearts on the line, which will the odds favor?

My Review  5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I loved this novella as it really drew me in from the beginning.

The novella focuses on Alexander (Xane), Kelly's brother and Phoebe who is a new character.

The novella is told from both points of view and we see the emotions of both characters as they morf from virtual strangers to more.  We see past hurts that have helped to shaped them and we see them now as they struggle to come to terms with changed feelings and protective instincts.

The book does stop with a bit of a jerk, but not in a bad way, it just leaves you wanting more, wanting to know what happens next with not only these two characters, but with the rest of the series.
