REVIEW - Tucked Away (Hearts of Montana #1) by Jennie Marts
The Book
Release Date: 28 April 2015
Sometimes you find what you need in the most unlikely places...
Charlie Ryan's cheating fiancé left her with a broken heart and even broker bank account. She's hit rock bottom, but everything is about to change. Suddenly, she's inherited a Montana farm named Tucked Away from a grandmother she never knew existed. A fresh start is just what she needs - and no men in her future this time, even if the local vet is as hot as a Montana summer.
Zack Cooper is content with his simple life. Running his veterinary practice and raising his daughter are enough to keep him busy, and he doesn't need a high-maintenance city girl like his ex who plans to sell her grandma's ranch and split faster than a setting sun. So why can't he stop thinking about Charlie and her hot-pink cowboy boots...and the way her eyes say she wants to stay while her lips tease him with plans of leaving?
Just when both start to believe love might be worth the risk...one night will change everything.

Although this was a fairly decent storyline, i honestly felt like the author had put everything she could think of into this story.
Death of unknown grandparent, inherited farmhouse in Montana, leaves cheating fiancé Railroad want to buy land, forms relationship with a teenager, likes the Vet, feels spirit of grandmother, gets together with vet, mother arrives unannounced, finds out teenage is vets daughter, grandmother may have been murdered, estranged father turns up, boyfriends ex-wife turns up, acts badly, gets injured, goes out to rescue teenager and gets in a fight, vet rescues them, fire at the farm, railroad guy implicated.
The only thing that does not seem to happen is that the ex-fiance never turns up, seriously, ho much can be thrown into one book?
Charlie was an ok character, butte never really had a moment to breathe and get over something before something else was shoved in her face. Zack the vet was a good character, protected his daughter, however things happen very quickly with him and i find it strange that in around 11 years Charlie is the only one that has tempted him as a partner since his wife left.
An ok story if you want LOTS to happen, just too far fetched for me.

REVIEW - Property of The Mountain Man (The Montana Mountain Men #1) by Gemma Weir
The Book
Release Date: 14 January 2021
Tall, dark and muscled like a god, Beau Barnett is great with an axe. Every woman in Rockhead Point wants a taste of the mountain man. Including me.
Except he doesn’t even know my name. I’m just the girl behind the counter filling his coffee, while he grunts and grumbles, barely making eye contact.
Then a newcomer with a charming smile and a fancy suit shows up in Rockhead Point, and refuses to take no for an answer when he asks me to dinner.
That’s when I find out Mr. Mountain Man not only knows my name… he thinks I’m his property.
My Review 5 STARS
Holy Smokes. I saw a recommendation for this book in a reading group that i am in on facebook called Jealous/Possessive Hero Book Group and i knew that i just had to read it after all the comments.
Well i certainly was not disappointed. Beau Barnett was most certainly a major possessive, all consuming man that once he had made up his mind about Bonnie, that he wanted her, that was it. He went for her and told her he was possessive, jealous and would not tolorate a moment of space between them, even with the nearly 2o year age gap between them.
21 year old Bonnie has had crush on Beau since she was 13. With an older brother who is a bout his age she thought he would be nothing more than a fantasy, until another man came sniffing around and asked her out. That turns out to be a catalyst to make Beau lose his mind.
Cora is a little immature in ways, but in others she has good ethics and is helping he elderly father after the death of her mother and has an older, overbearing brother who tries to act more like a father. When Beau takes her home and she meets his six brothers, she feels more at home and accepted their that she thought possible.
The heat certainly leaps off the pages with this book, with Beau certainly showing us that he has a softer side when needed and laying down his laws, that mostly get challenged by Bonnie who shows she is no pushover and only capulates when she is ready.
I cannot wait until the next book comes out and we can see another Barnett brother find happy ever after.

REVIEW - Fearless (Forever #7) by Priscilla West
The Book
Release Date: 13 November 2014
A Contemporary Romance Novel by USA Today Bestselling Author Priscilla West
Reckless should be read before reading this book.
"What are you doing?" Jax struggled.
My heart breaking for him, I raised his bruised hand to my mouth and kissed it tenderly. "Burning away the past."
Beaten, bruised, and broken, I made a desperate move that would change our lives forever.
Just when I thought the worst was behind us, cracks appeared, secrets surfaced, and lies unraveled.
With threats closing in from all sides and our very lives hanging in the balance, I was faced with the most difficult decision of my life.
My Review 5 STARS
This book starts where the other book for this couple left off and it keeps you so gripped up by the story that you simply cannot put it down until it is finished.
Jax certainly has his issues and they get easier to see as you experience how he had to grow up, however with many triggers and going to see a therapist as per Riley's suggestion, things get worse before they get better.
Riley shows a lot of patience with Jax, but eventually JAx pushes her away and they are both miserable. It is only on finding something the Riley gave him do things make a little more sense, he is more open to talking and they are able to work things out.
This pair certainly have the chemistry, the book and story has all the feels and you cannot help but root for the characters to have a happy ending.
REVIEW - Reckless (Forever #6) by Priscilla West
The Book
Release Date: 4 August 2014
Everything about him warned me to stay away.
I’d seen bad boys before, but he had it all and more. The rippling muscles covered in tatts, the piercing eyes hiding dark secrets, the silky voice that could make a girl come with just a whisper . . .
He was exactly the type of guy that would get me in trouble, but when he jumped off the stage, inked skin glistening with sweat and breathed his seductive words into my ear, I couldn’t resist the temptation.
It was supposed to be the best one-night stand of my life, but fate didn’t let it play out that way. Things happened. I got upset. I got hasty. And worst of all, I got reckless.
After that disaster, I thought it was the last I’d see of him. But what I didn’t know was that I’d started something.
Something that could shatter the very thing I had worked so hard to protect.
I should have known back then that the most seductive things in life are also the most dangerous.

**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Blackbird Publishing for an honest review**
Oh my goodness, why has this book been sitting on my kindle for so long? I am seriously kicking myself right now, the book was so captivating and gripping that i could hardly put it down.
Jax is the front singer in a band called The Hitchcocks and we first see him mentioned as the band called The Cocks.
Riley is an accountant that likes to live on the edge a little, especially as she was so hurt by a former boyfriend who almost destroyed her. Seeing Jax has her so captivated by hum and the chemistry between them, but after leaving him with blue balls never expects to see him again.
When her firm sends her to work with a band for two weeks on the road and to make them cut costs, she does not realise the the HC stands for the Hitchcocks, until Jax carries her onboard the extravagant bus after an altercation outside.
Both characters tease each other and on up each other until there is nothing else for it but get even closer together.
The bandmates are mostly on the outskirts of the story, with Sky being the closest to Jax otherwise as a kind of sister like figure.
The book ends on a cliff hanger so i was glad that i could immediately get the second book to their story.

REVIEW - The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob by Pippa Grant
The Book
Release Date: 7 January 2021
A rock star / single mom / fairy tale romcom
You don’t know me, but you do know me. I’m your neighborhood hot mess single mom, doing my best to keep my head above water while running my little slice of heaven and keeping my youngest from shoving marbles up his nose, which is exactly what he’s doing the first time Levi Wilson, pop star god, world’s sexiest man, and my all-time number one celebrity obsession, walks into my bookstore.
Related: I’m writing this from beyond the grave, because I’ve died of mortification and am now residing in an alternate universe.
I have to be.
Because Levi Wilson came back.
And we had a moment.
Like, a moment moment. The kind that makes me remember that adult pleasure isn’t all about hoping the lock holds in the bathroom so your kids don’t interrupt on the rare occasion you feel like taking an extra-long mommy-time shower.
So when he proposes a no-strings fling?
Count. Me. In.
Thrill of a lifetime, right?
Surely, nothing will go wrong…
The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob is a rockin’ fun, sexy romantic comedy featuring a celebrity panty-melter who doesn’t know what he’s been missing, a sassy single mom hanging on by a string, three adorable children who would never burst in on a woman when she’s on a toilet (ha!), and shameless ovary-busting moments between a guy who never thought he’d be a dad and a family who thought they got along just fine without him. It stands alone and comes complete with a happily-ever-after (though you’d never go wrong to read the other Bro Code series books first).
My Review 5 STARS
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
Yet another brilliant book in the series and the authors arsenal.
I have not yet been able to find a book from this author that does not live up to expectation, have me spitting out coffee in laughter or have my heart warming as the characters wake up from their lives to find there is someone to make their lives complete.
We have met Levi in previous books and he is just as lovable as before, maybe even more so. It is also lovely to see that Ingrid could quite possibly be the mum next door, or even myself as the hot mess mum, just trying her best to get through everyday with work and her kids in tow.
I love the interaction between the pair and the mess of moments that the kids go through with Ingrid in their wake and by extension Levi as he just walks into their lives and lives like this is all normal for him. I also loved that he actually saw Ingrid for the superman that she was and just helped her, where no man had previously done for her and that the did the little things that help more than anything.
We see more of previous characters from the series and other series that link up along with a little more from his mother. I am really looking forward to Cash and Davis having their books and seeing what types of strong women bring those men to their knees, along with what type of animals are going to ensure that things do not run smoothly.
Really loved this book and cannot wait to read more from this author.

REVIEW - Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire (Bro Code #3) by Pippa Grant
The Book
Never borrow pants from your brother. Especially if he’s a size smaller than you are, because all that pressure in the junk will short-circuit your brain.
And you’ll lie to a woman in a club about your real name.
Leave her unsatisfied after making out in a bathroom.
Then find out that she’s the one thing standing in the way of your dreams. And she very much doesn’t like being lied to.
Now I have to convince Lila Valentine—the woman I can’t stop thinking about, my biggest regret, and my new boss—that I’m what’s best for the baseball team she’s inherited.
If we can’t work together to save the Fireballs, the commissioner’s forcing a sale and moving them across the country.
I’ll do anything to save my home team.
But the one thing I can’t do?
Keep my hands to myself.
Which would be fine, if she hadn’t been telling me lies this whole time too.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire is a rocking fun romance between a single dad obsessed with baseball, an heiress with secrets, baseball pants, a rundown team, and rabid ducks. It stands alone and comes with a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
