The Book
Release Date: 11 March 2013

Ruthie Knox’s Camelot series continues in this sizzling eBook original novel, featuring two headstrong souls who bump heads—and bodies—as temptation and lust bring nothing but delicious trouble.

An accomplished lawyer and driven single mother, Ellen Callahan isn’t looking for any help. She’s doing just fine on her own. So Ellen’s more than a little peeved when her brother, an international pop star, hires a security guard to protect her from a prying press that will stop at nothing to dig up dirt on him. But when the tanned and toned Caleb Clark shows up at her door, Ellen might just have to plead the fifth.

Back home after a deployment in Iraq and looking for work as a civilian, Caleb signs on as Ellen’s bodyguard. After combat in the hot desert sun, this job should be a breeze. But guarding the willful beauty is harder than he imagined—and Caleb can’t resist the temptation to mix business with pleasure. With their desires growing more undeniable by the day, Ellen and Caleb give in to an evening of steamy passion. But will they ever be able to share more than just a one-night stand?

This book seems to take place a good few years after book one as Amber and Tony now have three kids.

In this book we have the story of Ellen and Caleb with the story of Jamie and Carly intertwined.

Ellen is the single mother of Henry and is divorced as her husband was a drunk and a cheat.  She got rid of him when she got pregnant knowing that the relationship wasn't working.  She has learned since then how to be independent, but the mother-in-law helps her out with her kid so she can get some work done.

Her neighbour Carly is pregnant and got together with her famous brother Jamie after she got pregnant with donated sperm when married to her husband who left when she fell pregnant.  They split and both are unhappy kinda mooning over the other and Ellen is stuck in-between.

Caleb is contracted by her brothers security firm due to the relationship he had with her neighbour as photographers and the like have started going there to see if they can get any photo's.  She doesn't take well to having them on her property and fights with Caleb every step of the way in regards to the safety measures he wants in place.

Caleb 'negotiates' his way around Ellen, having been in the Army's military police he is well equipped to deal with Ellen where others would fall flat.  Deciding shortly after that she wants a fling and after her neighbour tells her that she knew Caleb since school, Caleb and Ellen start a physical relationship and are constantly negotiating the rules.  Such as he can ask her a questions for every orgasm that her gives her and she has to answer.

Of course, things don't go quite so well near the end of Carly's pregnancy and Jamie flies out after a call from Ellen.  Ellen's ex-husband comes on the scene and causes trouble to the extent that Caleb punches him.  Misunderstands abound and sorries and thank you's are occasionally needed.

LOVED the scene where Jamie is performing a concert on Carly's lawn to get his way into here house and he starts stripping in front of the photographers and Journalist to get her attention as she is not letting him in the house.

There is of course soul searching and long coming realisations by our four individuals, leading us nicely to a happy ending for both couples

The book is not cheesy, but has a fun lightness to it that draws the reader in.  I'm looking forward to the other books in the series.
