My Opinion  5 STARS
WTF….. She just left us hanging like that?  Richelle Mead is a killing me here…….

Adrian and Sydney had finally gotten together in the previous book and now they are falling for each other hard, finding time together in secret.  Adrian is mindful of Sydney's boundaries and lots of kissing and fumbling occurs.  However he is more than willing to wait for whenever she is ready to take things in their physical relationship further.  He has also given up smoking and practically given up drinking.

Syndey and Adrian make many break-throughs in magic and against the battle against the Strigoi along with the compulsion in the alchemists tattoos.

Much of the book is in the knowledge that if Sydney gets caught for doing any of the things she is doing there will be trouble.  Not only that but she has to keep things hidden from her little sister and a development with her parents causes strife.

You really feel the love between Sydney and Adrian.  You really feel that they make the other stronger and they are always there for the other.  Adrian also takes pills to help with his spirit and the mood swings but it hinders him when her really finds that he needs it.

We are left on al almighty cliff hanger however when Sydney is taken by the alchemists as Zoe has given her up after a disagreement.  Both find themselves in an impossible situation and the future looks bleak.

A fantastic read, but simply annoying knowing how long we have to wait for book five to come out.  By then I may have forgotten what has happened so far :(
