Tart (Delicious 2) - Lauren Dane

The Book
Release Date: 6 November 2012

Juliet Lamprey is having the time of her life running her successful bakery, TART, when Gideon Carter comes back into her life. Returning home to help his grandfather run the family on the farm, Gideon is back for good. When they meet again, the spark between them is immediate, and it isn’t long before the former childhood friends play catch up in bed.

That’s not good news for local lawyer Cal Whaley. Though the sexually open but strictly monogamous Cal has loved Jules for a long time, he’s hardly ever taken it further than friendship. When he sees her start to fall for Gideon, he knows he has to make his move or risk losing her forever.

Who would have anticipated that all three of them would connect on such an intimate level? The trio’s scalding liaisons take them places they’ve never dreamed. But such an intensely passionate and unusual relationship comes with equally as complicated emotions, and when Jules must suddenly leave town, she wonders if she’ll have a choice to make when she returns

My Opinion  3 STARS

This book sweet and sexy at the same time with headings of hot alpha male thrown in.

Jules is a talented baker and runs Tart, a bakery in which she shares a kitchen with one of her best friends.  Jules life was turned around when on her brothers birthday her dad left them for a woman a few years younger than her who was already pregnant.  Then her mother left. All when she was nineteen.

She has a wonderful friend base and has been not so secretly in love with one of her best friends brother Cal since she was fifteen, however nothing has ever happened between them.

Gideon used to visit his grandfather often as a child and would hang out with Cal, Jules and her friends.  He has moved back permanently to live with his grandfather and help with his farm.  Seeing Jules, he is immediately taken and knows that he wants her.  Her pursues her.

Cal has had a crush on Jules since he was eighteen.  When he hears and sees that Jules in moving on he finally decides that he has to stop holding back and he also pursues Jules.  When he finally kisses Jules, he tells her that he will not give her up.

Shockingly once Gideon also tells them he wont give her up, he suggests that they share.   Both men being bi-sexual agree, but Jules, scared needs time to think.  Its her friend Gillian that helps her see that this could be beneficial.

Both men shower her with sex, love and affection, showing her that she matters.  That she doesn't have to do everything on her own, that she can rely and cry on them.  A true triangle of love blooms between them even though not everyone accepts their relationship.

The ending however is a little abrupt, and could have been a little softer.
