A nice light-hearted read perfect for a day lazing about the house at the weekend.

Camille is a journalist who has been sent by her boss to meet Julian De Laurent as he has placed an ad for an actress and she wants the inside story. When she finds out that he needs an actress to be his wife for six months to fool his father she initially refuses.

When she tells her boss she is given the ultimatum that she will take the position or loose her job with the magazine and no longer be able to work in the profession let alone waitressing. Given this ultimatum and given her own strong morales instilled in her by her grandmother she quits her job.

Realising that she will not be able to cope without money, she agrees to marry Julian with his offered six months for 5 million pounds. They are married in Vegas with a prenup in place and she is flown to London and Paris before Marseilles to get her a brand new wardrobe.

After catty comments from the woman who was chosen to be Julians wife by his father it is the day of her marriage. The only problem, her dress is missing and the weather looks like rain. With no other option, she wears on of the other dresses that Julian had bought for her, but the weather gets worse and she gets rather wet.

Julian finds Camille quite charming and things she has brilliant acting abilities along with a good way of making out the position and putting her best foot forward. He finds because of her he has even started to thank the hired help.

Julian has plans to seduce his bride and does what he can to touch her from the beginning, they even share personal details with each other, ones he has never shared before. Julian spends a good ten days on honey moon with Camille where the inevitably fall in bed together and get closer.

Once back his father hands him an envelope that rocks his world. After a business trip away, he comes back to find his wife gone and his heart hurting and his step-mother telling him to think.

This book will have you smiling and feeling sorry for Camille, you just can't help it.

A good beginning to the series.
